that is about the dumbest thing i have ever heard. i would expect a thread like this to come out of starcraft for christ sake. ok... lets do some analysing here. every credible review of the game says the ps3 looks sharper, runs smoother than the 360 version. so now that we have that out of the way, why is the ps3 version inferior because it runs on a lower resolution when it looks BETTER! ill tell you whats inferior, the xbox 360's hardware! if the ps3's runing lower resolutions and looking better on my 60 inch, theres something wrong. now if they want to be cruel and post false stuff about this game, lets dig into the increased pop in and load times on the 360. ps3's version of GTA IV doesnt look to inferior now does it.

haha, ok the ps3 version locked up on a few 60 gig ps3's. at least the ps3 can be restarted instead of having to send your burned out system (XBOX360) to microsoft for a month long journey. can anyone just realize it? reliability SHOULD show the winner!

I can see why a lot of people here get pissed off when these threads are made, but it has some point.

If the PS3 costs more and its fans have been forever touting that their system is the best, the cell is unbeatable, its future proof, its far superior, it will have the best graphics of this gen, it whoops the 360 in performance tests, etc, etc, etc...

I don't care if it's barely noticeable, the point remains. The 360 is a cheaper system and is using older technology. Why is the so called future proof PS3 falling behind graphically?

Except that most reviewers agree that the PS3 version looks better.  I haven't seen both versions in person, so I can't really comment on it, but most people seem to agree that the PS3 version has better lighting, filters, and effects.

I really don't care (wait... don't I?), if a more expensive, high class promotaed and at the edge of technology machine runs the BIGGEST GAME OF THIS GENERATION (wait again... MGS4 gonna be the Biggest game of the generation... no?) worse than a poor underestimated machine, which fot two and a half years in a row beats the hell out of the arrogant Sony's black machine.
What annoys me, is that a week before GTA launch, Sony's and its SDFs (including major sites) propaganda, tried to stop the innevitable. That their biggest game, out of the blue, isn't THEIR game anymore, even if they sell EQUAL to the 360 version (they don't).
And suddenly WE ALL started counting PU/H (pop ups per hour) and searching the High High definition pictures playin the game "whats the difference".
What's more upseting, is that ign and their fellas, did what they did, BEFORE the launch of the PS3 edition! We all know that 360 edition was out there a week before. oh, man, that was treacherous.
Now, people can finally see with pure evidence that the two versions are at least EQUAL (my personal opinion is that 360 is better graphically speaking).

ya, read some reviews epinefridis! everyone says the ps3 version looks better. like bobobologna said, wheres the dirty sony propaganda?! the microsoft camp has been scrutinizing every game that has came out in the last year or more and the 360 looked better. now that a ps3 game looks a bit better than the 360 version, you have to say it makes no difference and that you think the 360 version is better graphically when every review goes agains that. believe you or dozens of credible reviews... now microsoft, didnt they send around an email to EVERYONE with a list of things you could be doing with the ps3's 5 minute install time? turns out that install time cuts load times down considerably, what a slap in the face microsoft! in the end people want to see what game is better even if it is extremely close. sony finally came out ahead on this one without "dirty propaganda". also did you expect the ps3 to sell more? considering the 360 has 6 million MORE consoles out there, the chance are slim to non. its pretty amazing though that the ps3 has done as good as it has after microsoft and all its fanboys spread so many rumours about the non existant DLC. get your facts straight and then come back talk.

I think it's funny that all those fanboys that slagged off Halo 3 for only being 640p are now saying it doesnt matter. Because guess what it's a PS3 game. I laughed long and hard at this.
