yes, i love the first 2 shadow hearts games... the 3rd just wasn't as good though..

Shadow Hearts 2 is one of the best RPGs I've ever played

Shadow hearts? NO!
Shadow hearts: Covenant? YES! It was a great game
Shadow hearts: From the new world? I think its worth a play if you can find a cheap copy.

It's a decent game, my friend who loves JRPGs loves it, but even though I'm a big fan of JRPGs as well, it just isn't appealing to me for a number of reasons. I played New World btw

1. The whole little kid factor, i hate playing as a 13 year old little squirt.

2. The scantily clad girl, sure I enjoy some fan service, but I'd rather see characters with more depth than less clothing.

Don't know about the 2nd or the 3rd, but the first one is a very strange game. It has a great story, but the battle system is one of the most boring i've have ever seen in an RPG. It offers ZERO customization, you can't change anything from your characters, in the end it boils down to choosing your best ability and then hitting at the precise time the X button. My suggestion is to look for other games, I think there are far better JRPGs for the PS2

I hated it, but then I find parallel universe themes uncreative.

I can get the Shadow Hearts 3 for $20 new. I did order Shadow Hearts for $30 with shipping from Amazon.

Look at my gaming catalogue. I have many of the best PS2 JRPGs.

1st one was not impressive. 2nd was the sleep hitter. I didn't expect anything from it because the 1st was just too blunt for me. It just made me sit through the whole game with enjoying gameplay and interesting story.

I played Shadow Hearts: Covenant and had a lot of fun with it. Not the best RPG I ever played, but if you like JRPG's you will definitely enjoy it because it is pretty different. I haven't played the first one, but I have heard it isn't quite as good as the second. The third isn't as good as the second either, or so I have heard.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S.
