Forums - Sony - May 6th is PlayStation Day!

From Uk.PlayStation.com:

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe prepares to reveal a host of key content coming in 2008.

In early May 2008, SCEE is hosting a press day in London to showcase a host of exciting new developments coming up this year for PLAYSTATION 3, PLAYSTATION Network, PSP and PlayStation 2.

As well as keynote speeches by SCEI President Kaz Hirai and SCEE President David Reeves, attendees will be able to get their hands on some of the hottest games coming to the PlayStation platforms over the coming year.

For full coverage, be sure to keep an eye on eu.playstation.com for updates from the event, including key announcements, hands on interviews and the latest screens and videos as they're released.

I wonder if they will announce anything big. Maybe they will show something from Eight Days or date some of the games that are supposed to be coming out this fall.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

How many events are they going to be in...

If nothing else we should see if that Killzone delay rumor is true.

Also, on NeoGAF J Stevenson said that Resistance 2 would be playable, but no actual gameplay trailer would be released.

YES!! im hoping for some KZ2 info.

Around the Network

We should be getting a KZ2 trailer, actually, according to inside sources on NeoGAF. That trailer that PSM3 said would be shown in April? Apparently the event was canceled and the trailer will be shown at this event.

I'm excited to see what Sony have at gamers day. I'm wavering on the edge of whether to get a PS3 after the pre-christmas price drop or wait until FFXIII Versus next year. They'll have to have some really good stuff for the holidays to make it worthwhile though, because I already have a Wii and 360 to play Holiday games on.

BTW, is it a good idea to have a big media event so soon after GTAIV?

starcraft - Playing Games = FUN, Talking about Games = SERIOUS

A couple of new interesting Exclusives might be nice and release date of Tekken 6.

Although I'm still interested in the release dates of more 'classics' on PSN and Home.

Hmm, pie.

 Wow.

I am not sure if it matters, really. If any of the news is big , it could be a selling point for those about to pick up GTA that haven't already. So it could be beneficial releasing platform specific news around the release of GTA.

̶3̶R̶D̶   2ND! Place has never been so sweet.

Maybe some new info about GoW3 ... and of course as allways , Im praying for some new PSP games :P
