If i'm not wrong there are no more results for US from NPD since a few weeks, no ? Any idea why NPD stop their top 10 work ?

Yea lately since the change the news section has been cluttered with crap and you really have to dig to get things of substance so try looking next time. :)

I thought this as a bumped topic from November.

NPD released March numbers not too long ago (DKII linked to them) April numbers will be coming mid-late May as usual I imagine.

Thx guys

Ok for the consoles, but there's no more PC charts ... As far as i've seen here http://next-gen.biz/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=10222&Itemid=2, there's some Amazon numbers, but it's not the same obviously.

Also, this is a monthly report, not a weekly chart. Sometimes ago, there was weekly top published frequently on many gaming sites (ex : http://www.firingsquad.com/news/newsarticle.asp?searchid=20260). This seems to have stopped... suddenly. So i must have missed something :)

NPD is US only and they only offer monthly charts. VGChartz is the only tracker to offer worldwide weekly sales data.

Neither NPD nor VGC offer PC sales data to the public.

The rEVOLution is not being televised

NPD has been offering simple weekly PC charts during all winter at least... That's not exactly sales datas, i agree, but still they were communicating more and now it's less. So any idea what has changed ?

NPD at one point last year completely cut off all publicly announced sales data (likely because of their dispute with VGC) but public demand was so strong they decided to continue releasing data but it was more limited than the data they were giving out earlier in the year. Some of that cut may have been whatever PC sales they were giving.

Hi, thx for the answer.

Well, it seems that those PC charts still exists (publicly of course), have a look here http://www.gamedaily.com/news/biz/

In the right column, you have a top 10 for mid-april

Top 10 PC Games (Week Ending April 19, 2008)
1. The Sims 2 Kitchen & Bath Interior Design Stuff
2. Sins Of A Solar Empire
3. Assassin's Creed: Director's Cut Edition
4. World Of Warcraft: Battle Chest
5. The Sims: FreeTime
6. Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
7. World Of Warcraft
8. World Of Warcraft: Burning Crusade
9. Command & Conquer 3: Kane's Wrath
10. Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas 2

So, if it appears there, why nowhere else (as far as i've seen) ? Simply because NPD got out of the press mailing announcements network ?
