 The controler may be similar but they aren't the same on top of that the design works so the need to change it is minimal.

 

The Wii more powefull the the GC (but not significantly) meaning that calling them the same technology would be as illogical as calling the PS controllers the same thing.

 Regardless of his point it was a flamebait example to show his point.
