To add: If I could add maybe six or seven additional voting slots, I could very quickly fill those up. I cannot emphasize just how many highly recieved games that released this quarter. Landing on these nine took a lot of thought (MC User Score was the deciding factor on the last few positions). With October opening already with Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve and Gears of War: E-Day, and Ocaremake and GTA VI on the horizon, this year is looking to be quite full. (And here I am only having played Mario Wonder DLC, Star Fox Remake, and Splatoon Raiders...)

For me, it's Onimusha Way of the Sword.

It's core action is just so incredibly satisfying, possibly the best feeling melee combat I've ever played.

The final boss was unfortunately a pain in the arse, but 95% of the experience is top notch.

Best: Reanimal: The Prisoner DLC
Worst: Wolverine

Ride The Chariot | ‘26 Completed

Hands down. Onimusha Way of the Sword. It's some of the best combat you will ever find in a game. Some amazing bosses. Some of if not the best facial expressions in cutscenes ever put in a game. Capcom's version of Musashi (real historical person but fictional take) is one of Capcom's best characters...ever. Brilliant game. They did a great job licensing a deceased actor as they have done before in the series as well.

Onimusha and Dawnwalker are my goats atm, but id expect that to change, Might be early in the quarter for this question.

"id expect that to change" To clarify: This poll is for releases from Q3'26 (July through September). Unless you are meaning to say that you're still working through these Q3 releases, and your opinion is not finalized yet as a result?

I've beaten Doom: The Dark Ages | Revelations (DLC) and Halo: Campaign Evolved. Both were fun, but nothing earth shattering.

I'm currently playing through Control Resonant and it is so far my GotY for all of 2026. We will see if that changes once I play Gears of War E-Day.

There are several games I'd play in that list, but right now money is tight.
