Nintendo needs to make the Hero of Time a trilogy by having the next Hyrule Warriors game explain the Hero's Shade.
Right now we have the Ocarina of Time remake about to come out, and Majora's Mask is no doubt on its way. Both are masterpieces, but there's a gap between the end of MM and Link's appearance as the skeletal Hero's Shade in Twilight Princess.
I've always wanted a game that bridges that gap. The next Hyrule Warriors could be that game. Show us an adult Hero of Time back in Hyrule. Did he try to join the Royal Guard? Was he wandering the Lost Woods trying to find Navi again, slowly succumbing to whatever fate turned him into the Shade? Did he fight in an unseen war for Hyrule nobody knew about?
It could be a darker, character-driven third entry focusing on his later years, his regrets, and his eventual fall. It would easily be one of the most emotional storylines Nintendo could ever tackle.
We could play as Saria, Sheik, Zelda, Impa, Ruto, Darunia, and Nabooru just to name a few. Didn't really care for all the extra people they added in Age of imprisonment so I'd prefer if they just focused on these characters and their story.
