Forums - Gaming - Bioshock Coming To PS3 This September?

I agree with Starcraft. I also think that GTA4 will bomb on the 360 because the first Grand Theft Auto games weren't even on the Xbox.

LULZ.

quote from article http://uk.ps3.ign.com/articles/869/869609p1.html

"2K Boston's critically acclaimed title moved from the console to the PC, and a code snippet found in configuration files for that port last year listed PS3 settings"

and

"The port will supposedly feature the previously released downloadable content and will have improved visuals over the PC and Xbox 360 versions of the game. We contacted 2K Games for a statement on this new rumor and were told, "No comment."

well, i still dont think this will come to ps3, but if they do release it, i belive it would be quite successful, although in my opnion the game is an aquired taste some love it some hate it. but if i were to bet id say no its not coming to ps3.

...not much time to post anymore, used to be awesome on here really good fond memories from VGchartz...

PSN: Skeeuk - XBL: SkeeUK - PC: Skeeuk

really miss the VGCHARTZ of 2008 - 2013...

Legend has gotten into them as well, but it's not near the frequency. Here's an analogy to what I see here.

if I go to a party, and make a comment to a woman that I think is not rude, yet 12 people instantly look at me like I said something wrong, the first thing that enters my mind if "crap, did I say something wrong", and I question myself. You seem like the kind of guy that would think "screw her if she can't take a joke" and never feel you were in the wrong.

I find it fun to mess with people who have this personality, so that's why I respond to most of your incredibly biased posts. For fun mainly, to see how someone like that reacts :)

I don't really care either way, I just want BioShock 2 to come out :).

As for this comment, it could have just been a cut/paste config from Epic. It uses the Unreal Engine, that runs on all systems. It might not have anything to do with the game they used the engine for.

Ignoring for a moment how sadistic the bolded part suggests you are Mr Mafoo, I am most certainly not the kind of person you just implied I am.

But to continue your analogy, lets assume you have been to a different party each night of the week leading up to the party you are currently at.  If those same 12 people had looked at you with the same kind of incredulity and disdain at each and every party, would you still naturally assume you had said something wrong when they repeated the look again in your current situation?

The first quote about the code snippet was found to exist because the game had originally been intended for the PS3 before Microsoft paid for exclusivity.

I would if they only looked at me when I tried to make the same joke. We don't hate you Starcraft, and we don't always jump your ass just because you showed up to the party.

We do it (and it's not the same 12 people), when you say something outlandish. Then a thread like this happens where 100 posts go by, and you never seem to think anything you said was even remotely inaccurate.

Can you please point me to a post where you apologized for saying something? I can point you to a few where I have. Never are you wrong Starcraft... never.

Now how can that be?

The pinnacle of sandbox gaming? By that logic neither version should have gotten a 10, as R* could've gotten rid of the framerate dips and other problems in both versions given enough time.

A "10" doesn't necessarily equate to "couldn't be better." Into today's world of 7-10 reviewing, a 10 simply means "really damn good," especially so in IGN's case.

And I don't really see how 30fps (which isn't really that bad) could be considered much worse than more frequent frame dips and texture pop, ala GTA.

Also, Call of Duty 4 received identical scores on both platforms from IGN, so I'm not sure why Sony fanboys would've freaked over that. :P

Anywho, my point was that both sides are guilty of making a big deal out of stuff like this, and then damage controlling like crazy when it happens to the other side

I apologise for CoD4, clearly a bad example.

You misunderstood what I was saying with the first bolded part. Review scores arn't relative to what could be done in the future, but to the best competition that exists at the time of the review. If they each received 10, there can't be a discernible difference between the two, as they would be measured relative to eachother.

What I'm saying is simply this. I don't think I'm in damage control at all, because with a 10 out of 10 review, there is no damage to mitigate. However, I think Sony fans are still quite desperate to mitigate the damage done by Microsoft gaining exclusive DLC. Right now, both games have a score of ten. But the 360 version is the only one that has the potential for future improvement.....

That right there would be one example from the last 24 hours. I am certainly not immune from mistakes, but I think it is likely that am I incorrect on far fewer occasions than some of the regular customers from the same old SDF we are discussing here.

We must have been discussing this for ten posts now, and yet we are still to see an example from you of one of these unsubstantiated, "outlandish" posts........

Actually, you are wrong. The XBox360 version isn't the only one that has potential for future improvement. It does get 2 exclusive pieces of DLC, whatever those may be.

EDIT: Oh, btw, please don't think I'm trying to dogpile you or something. I'm just pointing out a mistake.

Thanks for point that out, I didn't read that post.

I will point out what I consider incredibly biased comments in this thread alone. I fear however, that it will just start up more ramblings like they did in the first place.

Here are a few quotes from you:

"If Bioshock 2 comes the the PS3, it won't sell very well, because it is HIGHLY unlikely that the first game will come to the PS3."

"You can't possibly play RPG's of any description, or you'd love your 360, and hate the PS3.

Matter of fact, that goes for just about any genre other than platformers (and that will change thanks to Banjo). "

The first one. You honestly think the GOTY sequel would not sell well if it was on something other then the 360? It would sell well regardless of console. Gears 2 would sell well on the PS3, and MG4 would sell great on the 360. Great games sell well.

Here is where I find extreme bias. If someone posted a thread saying MGS4 is coming to the 360, I don't think you would say it would not sell well, because 1 2 and 3 were not on an x-box.

You just don't want it to sell well on the PS3. That's an entirely different thing.

The second one. This is the one that got me calling you a fanboy. What you are saying there, is all gamers should hate the PS3, as all games fall into a genre, and all genre's should lead someone to hate the PS3 and love the 360.

How can you not find that last statement outlandish?
