So you're reasoning is used by comparing multi-plat titles? Not a game like MGS4 or GT5?

I'm pretty curious about these claimed pop-in and framerate issues, so I started looking for information from the people who are playing the pirated version of the game.

Some guy at neogaf has been playing the 360 version, here are some quotes of his:

"There are some technical issues here and there, normally when you are driving fast and you crash there is some pop up here and there, and it´s easily noticeable but really, who cares, the city is awesomely big."

"yeah, pop ups are frequent if you go really fast on the cars and crash onto something, but they are not cars, people or buildings. They are normally stairs (the ones attached at the buildings), windows textures and small things like that. The trees are the worst in my opinion but there are meaningless to the game IMO, it´s so full of everything that you gotta pay the price."

"No framerate issues. Not one. And I been chased by 3/4 police cars + helicopter + rain + the other cars + pedestrians so it looks like you will have to really put 2 or 3 explosions and swat and 20 cars for it to get a framerate drop. It really is very stable."

So far, it's not looking bad to me.

So much for taunting the PS3's mandatory install, seems it pays off after all. That said; I'm failry certain the average gamer won't notice the difference (framerates perhaps but not visuals I think).

Unbelievable. Seems like IGN have given into the hype. I refuse to believe this game is better than Ocarina of time. 10/10 for graphics? Hah..

i have to remind you that ign.com has given 8.6 to the crap version PS3 PES2008...

At the end of the day I think the diff will be very small and hardly noticeable and teh only way you going to see them is if you study screen shots lol and who the heck wants to do that instead of playing the game. Lets face it most of the reviews and web sites have given the slight edge to the ps3 but all of them have said that it really is only a slight edge. Everyone should have known before hand that this game was going to be looked at really hard to see which one has the edge I will even bet that if this was a nother game that wasnt so high profile they might not have even mentioned these small diff. My point is everyone seems to be missing the big picture and that is this game is going to rock. You have 2 choices and that is ps3 gta that has a slight edge in the graphic department or the 360 with its DLC and beter online function(as it stands right now).

 Yeah I feel the same way. I hate how they qualify a 10/10 as not being perfect by giving the rating as "masterful". 10/10 should only be reserved for a game that is perfect in every aspect.

Technical issues obviously don't make this game perfect, why rate graphics 10 just so that you can give the game an overall 10? I would rather the gaming community believe that there is something greater to be accomplished, because you can't one up a 10/10 game. Even my favourite game FF8 I wouldn't give a 10, despite how biased I'd be towards it, a 10/10 would say that I'll never enjoy a game this much ever again, which may or may not be true.

If it weren't for other people flaming the opposing console, does anyone really care that the PS3 is "technically" better or that the 360 game will "last longer".

 Seriously, how sad would you be to be playing the PS3 version and saying "oh yeah, so much better than the 360, with all those minor pop-in's! Oh the framerate dropped? at least it's less than the drop in the 360's!"

 OR vice versa when playing the 360 version "Yeah sweet extra content, I didn't finish any GTA up until now, I'm going to love the additional content, haha the PS3 losers won't get as much time as I will out of this game. Oh damn pop-in's, ah well at least I can enjoy more pop-in's with the additional content!!"

Any word yet on the supposed split-screen multiplayer on the PS3? The only thing that would make my decision difficult...

Have you seen any mention of that outside that fake review?
