Yeah I think a certain amount of tribalism is inevitable, much like you see with say football teams, humans are just wired that way, the trick is to stop it boiling over into toxicity and attacking the "enemy".

We're mostly okay these days as far as the forum goes, I feel anyway, though stricter moderation of the articles wouldn't go astray.
