Forums - Sony - Let's play MGO together!

Oh, and I like to keep things simple so I'm also "Windbane" in the game if anyone wants to add me.

so all, what do you think of the game ???

I m a bit curious to know what people think because, for me, according to some preview, I dont expec MGO to be an amazing particularly compared to others multiplayer games (from Warhawk to CoD4).

It's definitely worth the money ;) (free)

It's so different then Warhawk, that I have no way to compare, so I won't. As for CoD4....

The three of us last night seem to play the game like we were playing CoD4. We got the assault rifles, and just gunned each other down. MagicMaker was trying to be more stealthy with the box, but due to a red outline we could see of each other, he was easy to find. I have no idea why that kept happening. It might be some sort of penalty for how we were playing, I am not sure.

I also played with a char named SuperNothing, and he had a completely different play-style.  He was very stealthy, used a lot of close quarters techniques, hide a lot... he used the entire breadth of the game. He was far more effective then the rest of us. There are a lot more game style directions you can go in MGO then in CoD4.

However, when you try to stuff CoD game play into MGO (like we did last night), you get less of an experience.  My guess is people who pick the game up and just play, will play it like a FPS, and find it to be less enjoyable then CoD4. People with many hours in both games, will probably find MGO a deeper experience. (weather you find deeper game play more fun, is up to you. Halo seems to say millions don't :p)

I agree. This is no run and gun. You won't make it if you play COD 4 style.

A few things I want to add.

For someone like SuperNothing, I am sure he had fun, as there was a lot of easy pray for him. I wonder how games will go when everyone is at his skill level. I could see the action slowing down a bit, causing the game to play at a much slower pace. It might make it better, it might make it worse, but it will definitely make it different.

This game is going to be bundled with MGS4, and I assume most people will play MGS4 before jumping online. If that's the case, players will have a much better handle on the controls.

Some people have already gotten ridiculously good at this. Every shot, head shot and I'm not talking about sniper.

Anyone up for a game?

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!

Yeah people have really improved in the last 24 hours...you might also notice you've probably leveled...i don't thnk I'm improving as much as most of these headshot maniacs. Teamwork becomes a lot more important when everyone gets decent.

is the server up? hum...i'll look again. vamp, vgchartz, ioi ...

I will jump in again. I sat there for 15 min, and played a different game.

How is it? Quick impressions!

its not that bad at all, its not the final version but plays well, im very glad they have done a "ghost recon" type online wher they have turned the grafix down a bit to keep a smooth game.

but lol i didnt know what to do, its a bit difficult at first i was on today in a TDM 2v2 as far as i could tell and my team mate was yelling abuse at me from the chat log on bottom screen

full game should be neat, and its a no fail game because its mgs related

...not much time to post anymore, used to be awesome on here really good fond memories from VGchartz...
