We have prelim numbers, but are waiting on Mat to hopefully share more information on the other 3 consoles to make those numbers more accurate before posting Americas estimates.

Are you guys taking Mat's observation of 'The Nintendo Switch 2 was able to repeat its performance in January' literally lol.

Literally? No. The info we have is showing it did at least a bit better in February than January. We have it at 179K in January and February is most likely 190K-220K. PS5 would be above that figure, but below last year's 302K. XS and NS are likely a bit above January, but hard to say exactly where with the lack of info from Mat.

Update from Mat:

In the US for February, Xbox Series ranked 3rd in both units and dollars. PS5 hardware spending was 10% lower in Feb versus a year ago, with XBS -32% and Switch -69%.

On Nex: Trailed Switch in units and dollars. Still more than 2x the same time last year, but not significant share atm.

Order is: PS5 > NS2 > XS > NS1 > NEX

PS5 down 10% is really good. That should put it around 270k.

The percent drop is in dollar sales and not units sold. PS5, XS, and NS1 have all had price increases.

We can look at console sales from all the major retailers in the US that showed that PS5 was leading in the US during January/February, all of them now show total Switch 2 domination when it comes to sales during March. The difference will be so big that Switch 2 will take over as the best selling console in the US year to date in march as well.

They do?  I expect March sales to be be close with a slight edge to the Switch 2 in March... but i don't expect PS5 sales to collapse.  As far as year to date is considered,  I would expect them to remain close, virtually tied, for the next few months.
