Forums - Sales - Famitsu Sales:Week 06, 2026 (Feb 02 - Feb 08)

Tbh i feel like we didn't need a Mario tennis so quick, feel like they just checked the box that they needed a sport game rn and that is it. They have pushed the boundaries in so many of their IPs but for some reason the sports game have only like stagnated or declined imo.

How much Switch 1 Mario Tennis has sold in Japan? And when was it released?

550k (as of March 2019). Game launched in June 2018, for reference. Debuted at >123k retail.

Ok, the sales are bad. However I think Switch 1 early games were disproportionately benefited of lack of games to play since the system did not feature backwards compatibility and third party were slow in their support

Lack of competition always positively impacted Nintendo games sales, this gen there's tons of 3rd party offerings, Nintendo's own games should sell less on average compared to Switch 1

where are this week numbers??
