Seeing the latest footage of Crimson Desert, it looks to me as though everything is coming together extremely well. If Pearl Abyss can pull it off, then this game could rank among the greatest of the generation… but it is still very hard for me to say at the moment.

What are you expecting?

This game looks like a 90+ to me.

But it's Korean, an unknown IP from an "unknown" developer. So critics will be harsher on it than any game from their favorite Japanese or western developers. Potential bugs and performance issues on consoles and midrange or weaker PC's could take a few points as well. I'd be pleasently surprised if it exceeds 85 even if the consensus views it as 90+.

As someone who had it on my monthly most wanted list for such a long time, I'll be satisfied if it's half as good as it promised to be from first reveal, with all the features it seems to have in it.

It will land somewhere between Biomutant and Clair Obscur. That's my hot take.

I think it's more hope than hype - they managed to cram AC+RDR+Zelda+Witcher+who knows what else inside of it, and if they really make all that work at least half decently, it might turn out to be great experience.

The movement options look insane. This could be very good.

So far I think the closest game to this is Where Winds Meet. But this seems much more polished and streamlined. I hope it's as good as it looks.

I admit I was sceptical of it when it was first announced. it looked to good to be true. But the new videos give me lots of hope. the game looks very polished and mechanically interesting so i can't help but be very hyped.

I am also looking forward to their other game "DokeV" I hope both of these games turn out really good. Pearl abyss seems like a potentially amazing game company.

Dang. More gameplay has dropped, and the game just looks simply incredible! I really hope this game lives up to the hype… this legitimately looks like it could be one of the greatest games ever made.

I’ll keep my expectations low in order to avoid any inevitable disappointment.
