Update— (I’ll tag everyone in the league next week, once we get an update on the Nintendo Direct rumored for next week.) These are the four games to be added:

- Mina the Hollower
- Silent Hill: Townfall
- Kena: Scar of Kosmora
- Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse

Marvel Tokon, unfortunately, just barely missed the cutoff for consideration. UnderwaterFunktown and I agree that the game is just niche enough to be excluded. Marathon and Darwin will also be cut due to releasing so soon— we need to give everyone in the league time to vote for everything.

Marvel Tokon (and certainly Marathon) will be bigger than most games listed. Both will potentially sell over 10 million. They're undoubtedly two of the biggest games of the year, probably way bigger than Kena, Townfall, and Belmont's Curse.

Your expectations of Bubsy and Darwin must be insanely high lol.

Maybe niche isn't the right word... it's for the same reason Highguard and 2XKO were excluded. Not games that really work well with critics. No doubt Tokon well sell quite well!

It's a high tier ArcSys game in the vein of Dragon Ball FighterZ (86 on OC, sold over 10 million as of two years ago). If it lives up to the hype, it will review well and may sell over 5 million. Only 5 games in this list are pretty much guaranteed to beat it.

2XKO is f2p from a company with little to no fighting game experience. Highguard has nothing in common with Tokon.

You have your plate full so I'm not going to pressure you more lol.

Mina the Hollower - 84
Silent Hill: Townfall - 86
Kena: Scar of Kosmora - 90
Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse - 83

Hmm... you know, you raise a good point. I'll look a little bit further into it. If anybody else wants to see it added, then I'll definitely bring it on in when I introduce the Nintendo Direct games. If the devs have a history of strong critical reception, then that seems like a great fit for the league IMO.

Silent Hill Townfall - 80

Castlevania: Belmont's Curse - 87

Marathon could be fun in that I consider it a bit of a wildcard in terms of how it will review. But fair enough if it launches too soon for predictions.

For all the Bubsy 4D doubters, Fabraz’s latest platformer Demon Tides is debuting at an 82 on OpenCritic.

Oh wait... I misread.

Demon Tides is a stunner. First time hearing anything about this series and the studio.
