Eh, it's not like there's blood dripping from the ceiling or people being decapitated.

And I'm surprised Super Metroid didn't get a T rating with what happened to Crocomire.

Normally you'd have to play Mortal Kombat to see something that graphic.

Splatterhouse series has all that. Then check out the game over screen for Ninja Gaiden arcade lol. Chiller in arcades is maybe the first game I remember with gore in it but wasn't until Splatterhouse arcade that it looked goopy.

Chiller is way more disturbing than Splatterhouse, because in Chiller you're shooting and killing people who can't even fight back or run away.

They deserved it. They know what they did! I always loved fake gore tho. Little kid I rented and watched 80s horror. Jason was my fave so of course I loved Splatterhouse. Practical gore in movies I still love and good gore in games is always welcome when it works for the game. Metroid aint one of those lol. They said Metroid can't work in a open world due to how to gain power ups but I think BoTW proved that wrong. I do hope Prime 5 has a more open space nature than locked to one world. Expanding on MP3 but MP3 was clearly limited by Wii hardware. Similar to how Nintendo wanted Wind Waker to be fully open but could not due to the hardware.

I wish nintendo would stop shoehorn open world into their series. Botw was fun and gave high hope for future OW Zelda. But then we got Totk…

Good news. MP4 is not open world. It uses what's called an overworld. Like OoT on N64. It's a hub. Thank you for coming to this Ted Talk.

You can smack me too, TotK was terrible and ruined all the goodwill I had built up from BotW.

Well the timing of this troubled development interview was perfect for MP4 now falling to 78 below Other M on metacritic as basically the worst reviewed Metroid game (not counting spin off stuff like Pinball/Federation Force).

That is indeed good news. I understood that sol valley is a hub. But the development speaks about being inspired by Botw. I was anyway not gonna skip this game and i doubt its as bad as media and social media paints it.

It’s find it funny though. Mainstream reviewers gave totk higher score than this game. I really doubt totk is better than metroid prime beyond. Reviewers should be consistent and have integrity. If Sole Valley and Mackenzie drops the rating to 80. Totk with all its faults should be 50. But then again its reviews. If media says human feces is masterpiece and hypes it up, of course thw public in social media will love it more. Negative stuff wont gain as much views. If media says mackenzie and sol valley destroys a game, even if its good parts is even better than Prime 1, the public in social media will join on that bandwagon and augment the negativity. This is my initial thoughts of this whole situation.
