Plenty of big franchises from back in the day have fallen from grace or faded to obscurity and gone under.

Jak and Daxter, Prince of Persia, Medal of Honor, Star Fox, Castlevania, Half Life. The list goes on and on.

That's where Call of Duty is headed if Activision doesn't get their shit together. Especially with Battlefield breathing down its neck and other quality FPS franchises catching up. It wouldn't be the first, and it wouldn't be the last.
