I had the PS3 and Wii at the same level, for me personally and never had the 360. I would put the Wii ahead just because of the number of new gamers it was able to bring to to the table. More and more people were able to have fun with it.

PS3 is better now because most of the best 7th gen games that happened to run better on 360 are available on GoG. Not sure why anyone would play New Vegas on 360/PS3 when the GoG version is better in every way and there's no DRM to it.
Own all 3.
Personally the PS3 was my most played system that gen and won it. There was too many games and exclusives I enjoyed, 1st and 3rd.
Wii had some good games but I couldn't get into the motion controller, and being left handed didn't play so well with certain games. It was the best for couch/party games.
Xbox360, only thing that interested me was Halo and Gears. I did enjoy Left4Dead but ended up playing that game more on PC.
Wii60 was popular back in the day, so for me PS3 was definitely the worse. There were some first party bangers on PS3 though.
Not in my opinion, and I at large portions of that generation, had all three consoles. The Wii was the best family console. The 360 was the best hard-core console. The PS3 was really only great at providing those single-player experiences, which Sony is known for. Well, that and the ability to play Blu-ray discs. Everything else about it was worse than the 360, imo. Worse online. Worse versions of multi-platform titles. Slow UI. PS3 was Sony's lone fuck up. At least in the home console space. But it still sold really well, so I don't know how much of a negative that really was.
Yes, for me personally it was the best. When all is said and done what matters to me its game library and the PS3 had the best one by far.

No. Xbox 360 remained the best console of that generation. Stuff mostly ran better on 360 to the very end, and 360 got exclusive shmups. Not to mention PS3's controller was unwashed pig ass.

IDK i’m not even sure I’ve ever played a PS3 nor XB360 game. Wii was pretty cool FWIW: Wii Sports, Mario Galaxy 1+2, Zelda TP+SS, DKCReturns, KirbyRTDL, and Mario Sluggers were very delightful experiences. Though admittedly this feels like quite a light lineup of releases for an entire generation, especially when compared to the other two…
Maybe.
Wii had the best first-party games of the generation. 2 Mario Galaxy games, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and so on.
Xbox had the best online (though you had to pay for it no matter what which sucks), and typically better performance of third-party games (though that mostly shrunk as the gen went on as you said). Xbox also has a better controller and the ability to install pretty much any physical game to a hard drive.
PS3 has exclusives and multimedia and such.
