When does Rock Band Wii come out? Early June right? That will surely steal tons of Wii GH:A sales.

I Hope Not, I hope people for once realize that it's a total gimped rip-off and EA/HArmonix will learn a lesson

Well I'm struggling...I have a bunch of friends who briefly played the PS3 version, and loved it.  I enjoyed it too.  They kinda want to chip in to buy Rock Band for Wii, since that's pretty much the only available system right now.  I'd probably end up paying for half of it...I'm still trying to decide if it's really that bad without DLC and online play or not...

I really don't care about online play.  No DLC sucks, but I'm pretty sure the game would still be great fun with the existing tracks, plus A) DLC might come along down the road, but I doubt it, and B) I'd be set on accessories for the next Rock Band Wii game.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

baby seal murderer...

End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)

Wii- 72 million   3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases

360- 37 million   Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak

PS3- 29 million  Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut

I'm pretty much struggling with the same situation.  I don't care about online play neccessarily but DLC would really be nice.  A more important point for me is compatibility with the GH3 guitar.  I already have the Wii Les Paul.  If they could get it to work in RB that would be huge.

I Have 2 Wii Les Pauls, and 2 copies of GHIII because of them, So that makes it a definite no for me. I hated the RockBand controller (On my friend's XBOX 360. I have a 360 now, but I didn't back then.) I'm PROBABLY going to wait for GHIV, which will have Multiple instruments And hopefully, (I have faith, plus I've read articles about them expressing their desire for Activision to do so) Will also have DLC

I already have close to 1 gig of DLC for Rock Band and plan to buy a lot more soon with the help of 3 friends sharing songs. It would be very hard for DLC to work on the Wii without a hard drive. Why would GUITAR hero include more instruments? And if you can use the Wii guitars with Rock Band, you could just get the Drum bundle and any USB microphone to play Rock Band.

OBJECTION!

windbane, There Are manythings wrong with your post:

  1.  Charles Huang of RedOctane has already stated: "Our hope is on the Wii that we can be the first non-Nintendo title to have downloadable content, so we're working closely with Nintendo to make that happen." (It could plug into the expansion port on the LesPaul)
  2. GH IV WILL use instruments other than GUITARS, ACTIVISION has already made the announcement: www.vgchartz.com/forum/thread.php?id=24735
  3. You can't use Guitar Hero Guitars On RockBand Wii: "Support for the GHIII guitar peripherals in Rock Band on the Wii was not possible without Activision's permission. Therefore, any questions regarding lack of compatibility with GH III hardware should be directed to Activision." - http://www.joystiq.com/2008/03/24/tabulator-guitar-hero-rock-band-guitar-compatibility/
So, All of my Points Are LEGIT

I'm getting GH: Aerosmith, no doubt about it. For the Wii.
And I'll pretend thar Rock Band Wii doesn't exist, especially now that GHIV will have multiple instruments!

From what I read, GH Aerosmith is not expected to have DLC on any system. I expect it to see the best on Wii and worst of PS3. For reference, GH3 has sold more on PS2 and 360 than Wii.

It will be fun to see what ioi posts about the VGChartz Store sales of this game in June and July.
