This is the tie ratio in USA, according to NPD Numbers:

 

  • Xbox 360: software sales ratio: 7.5
  • Wii: software sales ratio: 5.3
  • PS3: software sales ratio: 4.6

 What is the tie ratio worldwide, considering that the Wii leads in Europe and Japan in software?

 

PS. WiiSports is not counted by the NPD.

Taking into consideration that the Wii is going to vastly surpass the install base of both rival consoles ( not combined ), such a tie ratio is pretty good and a healthy one for 3rd parties.

Bikes, because they are generally faster on the majority of tracks.

The tie ratio of the Wii grew the most since the last time the tie ratios for the three systems were reported. Basically it was only a matter of more good (3rd party) games getting released for the system in order to really sell more software. Now who would have thought that?

4.3 is greater than 4.6?

Wii -  68 million, 90 million - Wii HD in late 2011 - $249

360 - 38 million, 47 million - 720 in late 2010 - $299

PS3 - 31 million, 43 million - slim PS3 in mid 2009 - $299

Can we take out PS3's Warhawk too, since that was just sold because of the headset? (otherwise they would've downloaded it online, right?) ;>

I'd say we should take out Eye of Judgment too since it was only $10 plus the Eye, but I don't think that'd really make a difference. :P
