Jesus, Xbox is next level dead. Selling around half of the nearly decade-old and now replaced Switch 1 is awful.

130K monthly sales after less than 5 years on the market is abysmal, Switch 1 didn't get those numbers after close to 9 years on the market. It means that Xbox in a lot of markets these days are doing Wii U monthly numbers.

1.5m is a damn fine second month for Switch 2, and Switch 1 holding above 500k is not bad given the circumstances.
Thanks for the great work trunks!

Nintendo is doing great at keeping the Switch 2 relatively in stock. Some places it still sell out quickly, while other places it is available most of the time. Japan from what I've seen is the place where demand outstrips stock the most.

500k? He said a quarter of a million in the video which is 250K like the front page shows for July.
For the Switch 2 to already take the lead in global sales this year pretty much guarantees that Switch 2 will sell more than PS5 this fiscal year, given that PS5 got a price increase recently in the US as well.
Its pretty unusal for a new console to overtake sales of an older console year 1, it took years for PS5 to overtake global Switch sales.
