I would suggest that you beat the game first and familarize yourself with every aspect of it.  Then use a strategy guide specifically for the 54 people that tells you how to get them all and in what order you should.  That's the only way you'll ever get that achievement because it's very time specific.

For some reason I feel guilty if I don't... which is kind of weird since they are virtual. It's probably the fact that I can see how long they have left to live knowing I have the ability, but not the skill to save them.

I feel that sometimes for other games...

I guess that shows you are capable of compassion, take it as a plus...

In the Space Pirate planet, there's this one time where you have to protect bomb troopers from insane waves of Pirates coming at you, and I couldn't stand watching one die (three die, and it's game over)! Luckily, I was good enough to actually only see one trooper die in my entire life (even after going through Hypermode difficulty thrice!).

I'll never forget that GF Trooper getting sucked out in space at the beginning of the game though... R.I.P.

The little flaws are very, very annoying. But I am a sucker for engaging sandbox games :P

Dead Rising is like a really hot girl who is missing an arm, she's still a hot girl.

Anyway, I disagree with a lot of that. If the people you saved were all bad ass and capable it wouldn't be a challenge at all, plus they wouldn't need your help to begin with. The challenge IS their stupidity. And regardless, they usually do just fine as long as you equip them with the right weapons and give them the right directions. I would say I felt bad not saving them but after playing the hero for long enough it's kinda fun slaughtering them. Now KOTOR used to make me feel bad for trying to be bad... or Fable.

As for saves I don't see the problem there. I know in this day and age we are all spoiled with save anywhere kind of gameplay but once again Dead Rising presents a challenge. If you just stock up accordingly and then save your game at the right times, you shouldn't have to retrace to many portions of the game.

But... if you wanna make the game easier, just do the achievement of killing 50 thousand some odd zombies.. finish the game and then get the real mega buster. That helps out a lot.

As for saving everyone, it is realized that you cannot get savior if you end the story proper right? You more or less have to fail the story portion at a certain point (I forget where) and just worry about saving everyone.

Okay... if Dead Rising has bad graphics then I just don't know what good graphics are. I still look at the game and go "wow, it just looks awesome."

I do agree about Otis being annoying, but that seemed like the point of it, I mean, you answer a cell phone/radio while you are fighting off a horde of zombies... annoying, I think it was purposefull. Overall though, your acting like the game is unplayable and I could promise you the majority of people played the game just fine. I know I did.

I respect your opinion though, I just completely disagree.
