It was on No Mercy with AI. I was just extra careful. Clean out all the zombies as you progress, use your AI as a buffer to take damage, run like hell from the tank and let them kill him. Keep pipe bombs if you get puked on. At the end I had exactly 96 health. Also, I stood in the door of the small closet in the room where you call the heli, when I heard a tank I ran up to the top of the building and hid behind air condition things. The only way to avoid getting healed is not to get that low to begin with.

Still can't get do not disturb the witch. EVERY freaking time one my AI alerts her. I almost had it last night but in the sewers she popped up and we could have avoided her but instead Francis shot a zombie standing next to her with the shotgun and alerted her. I was cussing mad!

I always have this problem and still can't get the achievement, one time there was a witch sitting in front of the door I had to get through. That made me mad because I almost had it.

Thanks Jason.

@jason, that sounds good, I would have invited you the other night but you weren't on.

@eagles, all you have to do is run through the 4 campaigns offline, doesn't take long, and your ready to hop online. It's a blast though! Screw gears 2, Left 4 Dead is where it's at! Try the demo maybe, that might help you decide.

@sublime78
Afraid the demo didnt do it for me. Maybe Ill give it another shot when Im sick of Gears 2.

@Sublime, I unlocked "Unbreakable" thanks to you.  I hadn't even recognized that closet in the radio room on the roof, it worked like a charm.  I hardly had to fire a shot after I radioed for help.  I went in the closet and shut the door while my AI members were near the radio taking care of business.  Francis on two occasions opened the door to come in but I melee'd his ass out and shut the door.  When the tank came, my AI members ran out of the radio room, drawing the tanks attention away from me.  I kind of felt bad, watching through a hole in the closet door while the tank killed Bill and put a hurting on Francis... but I got my 30gs.

@Eagles, I've never been a multiplayer lover.  In fact, I tend to avoid them.  I'll take an average RPG over a great multiplayer shooter any day, but L4D is so much fun.  Sublime is right, play the 4 campaigns offline solo, with AI on easy to get a hang of it.  It's kind of lame because there is no story and the AI stinks, but each campaign is only about an hour.  After that, all it comes down to is learning the layout and routes in each campaign.  That is the biggest thing.  Some people I've played with in Versus mode simply don't know where they're going, get lost, run away from their teammates etc.

@Eagles, well I don't know if you can play Versus on the demo but it's worth the price of admission. I dunno, when I first played it I thought the control was too twitchy, but by the time I had finished a campaign I was hooked, and playing online (something I rarely do in shooters) has addicted me big time. If they give us some DLC I could see myself playing for a while.

@eNamrah, I happy for you but the race just got that much closer :( I would really like to beat Dead Space over the next couple days but I feel like I have to grind L4D just to keep my place or stand a chance... and the achievements I have left have alluded me for a month so I don't know why I would think I could get them now.

There's a closet on the roof?? I meant the one on the ground floor, lol. But any closet would work in that senario.

eNamarah!! you wiley bastard, you tied me. Ugh, come on, I've worked hard for those and you can just sneeze and max out a games achievements. Tell you what, if you don't get anymore points, I won't get anymore points and hopefully then we can both have 1st! :P

Mwuahahaha! I still have "Red Mist" left to get. I have 7000 kills total so far, but only 400 or so are from the minigun (I hate using it). I think by Thursday I can get at least another 40 gs, but I'm running out of doable achievements.

edit: BTW, "Stomach Upset" is pissing me off.  I call bullshit on some of these spawning boomers.  I'll hear one, make sure everything behind me is secure, then proceed forward, only to have a boomer, out of nowhere, appear behind me and barf on me.

You suck!! I think I'll just give up anyway and play Dead Space. I could get, possibly, another 80 points but like I said I haven't gotten them in a month so I don't see why I would get them now. If I could do expert it would be another 30. Honestly I never even anticipated leading this race, or even placing, it just kind of happened but it still hurts to probably lose it to achievement freak boy!

Stomach Upset gets on my nerves too. I know exactly what you mean. Surround sound helps oodles in avoiding them but at least one is bound to get you at some point. Actually last night I only had one barf on one of my guys the whole time.

And no one takes any damage from special infected, get the eff outta here that's impossible unless you have 4 friends play infected and just not attack.

Unfortunately "Nothing Special" can only be unlocked in campaign mode and is considered the hardest achievement to get. You can be vomited on by a boomer and still get the achievement as long as you don't get attacked after the vomit. The smoker can also wrap with his tongue around you as long as you kill him immediately. I still can't believe nearly 500 people have 1000 on this game already.
