Us VGchartzers should also arrange a few Horde nights aswell when Gears arrives.

I'm going to devote most of my MP time to Gears 2 when it comes out so I'll be down for horde, multiplayer, tournies whatever. I wasn't the greatest gears 1 player since the lack of lobby system really kept me from playing with friends much at all. What I did play was definitely my style of gameplay (like I prefer the smaller halo3 games) but I never got over the inconvenience of actually setting up games, getting friends, and playing. It was obviously an afterthought of Epic when they put that mode into the game but from what I've seen firsthand the multiplayer looks to be so much improved upon in the second game.

The Ryder Cup style sounds excellent! Most of my online time will be devoted to Gears as is so I'd love to participate on the American side if possible. Sadly my xbox is being repaired atm so im praying i'll get it back b/f Fable 2 comes out.

The interest in an EU + Rest of World vs NA tournament is pretty good.

At the moment, I have Barozi (Gerbasgamer) as the EU + Rest of World leader. This leader is for admin purposes only, as in just someone to invite everyone in the team and confirm the team roster.

Who wants to be the NA leader? Its not set in stone yet, this is just preliminary and just requires you to keep check of who is in the team.

I would just like to make it clear that I am a reserve, as I have not actually played any GeoW 1 online, or even finished it, but I do intend to have gold and GeoW 2 at its launch

Yep no problem. All lists are provisional, and since not everyone will show up, we always invite more than we need.

I'd like to join the reserve as well, I'm basically in the same situation Munkeh is, except I finished GeoW.

btw will there be lag from the distance?

Anyway its just to add a competition element to it. I mean we can have VGC Team A v VGC Team B but I guess the regional fight is just to add spice and I didnt think anyone will not join because it was in that format...

Hehe ok. Would you say yes to being the NA roster leader for a non-Gears one?

I must say the Warhawk league has been very successful, so maybe something like that, with an event every Saturday, not necessarily the same game. I am not sure if scoring is really required apart from for the "Ryder Cup" games
