Is there a date for Europe for Rock Band 2 at all? Can you at least lock our achievement points for this game after a month then give everybody else a month and make it a finished race?

I'm in a distant second, and I approve this message.

The dedication you show to any particular console or company is inversely proportional to the number of times you have gotten laid. If you get laid enough, even if you prefer a certain brand, you just don't give enough of a shit to argue about it on the internet.

That is actually a cracking good idea and I dont know why I never thought of it.

It also probably wont add much more work to do as well. So looks like I will start deferring Race start days so late EU releases wont affect Races.

THe problem is though:

1. There is not even an inkling of when RB2 will be released in EU but knowing Harmonix/MTV Games, and based on RB1, this will most likely be Q1-Q2 2009. RB1 was released in May 2008 (about 8 months after NA release). If this is the same, then it doesnt make sense to leave something so late because people probably wont care by then.

2. By that time, this league may have changed. The league points cant go on forever, and I have to set a time for Season 1 to end. It doesnt make sense to keep giving points without a season end. I am thinking end of Dec for Season 1 to end and Season 2 to start sometime in Q1 2009 (if I decide to continue league rankings). I can still see myself updating the Platinum and Gamerscore totals for a long time, and maybe someone can take over the league points, but I havent started thinking about the future (after Dec 08) yet.

By the way folks. Title Update for Halo 3 is up so it will be interesting whether the Plat holders can extend their 1000 score! All of them are multiplayer achievements.

The new achievements blow. I can't even get 1 of them and I bet most people can't either. They're made strictly to force people to buy overpriced map packs.  Who would waste 600 points on the legendary maps then buy the new Mythic maps whenever they come out and whatever they charge for that

Maybe I'll be able to get 10 of them if they ever make the legendary maps free.  Everybody talks about Bungies support of the community.  It's like PC gaming support with $40 added in where you pay for everything anyways.  So fun

And, as a huge fan of Bad Religion I want to say it's retarded that of all the songs they could put in Rock Band 2 they chose Sorrow. I can name half a dozen better songs on that CD alone, that's not even going into their other albums.

As a fellow Bad Religion fan, does it really matter which song they put in? Dudes have been writing slight variations of the same song for almost 30 years. I think they just had to find one that's reasonably entertaining for the entire group of instruments, and "Sorrow" fits the bill as well as anything. (Though I'd really love to play all the parts from Sinister Rouge. Unfortunately, it's 2 minutes long, or as I call it, a marathon Bad Religion song.)

It matters to me. I can't speak for the other instruments but it is boring as hell on guitar. But there are just SO many better ones out there. I would have a geekasm if they had picked anything off The Grey Race, or better yet, the whole disk! I mean, at first I was happy, yay, Bad Religion, but then as soon as the song started I rememebered which one it was and was seriously bummed out.

I may have lied... I may get Duke anyway.

Yeah, but even if they did the whole disk of The Gray Race, (one of my favorite BR albums) what could they charge, six bucks? It's 15 songs but less than 40 minutes TRT. Again, even as a fan of the band, I have to think that Harmonix tried to find a song that 1.) has a decent running time, and 2.) doesn't sound identical to a hundred other "three chords and a punk drum beat" Bad Religion songs.

I don't care about run time, I care about fun.  Sorrow is not fun.  Ah well, just my opinion.  I would have paid full price for the whole disk though, or maybe even a best of.  Either way, glad to see another BR fan :o) I do disagree that all their songs are the same, similar sounding but not the same. If it works, use it, their worst songs all deviate from their usual formula.

This is true but that's what expanded achievements have been going back all the way to Oblivion.  When new significant DLC comes out for a title a set of achievements is usually tied to it.  It's been consistently true for dozens of titles.  Some of the achievements in Halo 3 were cool in that they revealed some new stuff coming up. I don't like the focus on strictly multiplayer though because you get kids who want to boost all the time which is annoying.  I got a few of them last night and after playing only a few games I had a couple groups that were trying to boost.  It's fun getting overkills on the groups when they want to shit around :P

Hopefully when Mythic goes live the Legendary maps go free.  Although I really like the Legendary maps and think they were worth the money.  The playlists were pretty packed last night because of people trying to get the new achievements.

After all the time it took me to get 100% it sucks having to go back and grind again haha.  I had really been slacking on my H3 time lately and it showed in some early games.  I was sucking it up pretty bad.

Yeah, but the expanded achievements were for a huge Oblivion expansion pack which would usually be a new retail game. Not maps, some of which are just remakes of old ones. I see you got a lot of play out of them but you know some people bought the maps and never played them more than 4 or 5 times.

Maybe I'm just more annoyed that these achievements just automatically get added to my gamercard. I fail to see why anything should be added unless I actually buy it. This goes for any dlc achievements like Mass Effect's Bring down the sky, GRAW coop packs and anything else I'd never buy. Oh well
