Haze will (relatively) flop.

LBP won't sell that much but it will be a critical/fan success.

The rest will sell very well.

Possible flop: Haze.

The constant delays are worrisome. You know something was seriously wrong when they had ads running for the game last November and suddenly pulled the plug on the release date and moved it back over 6 months. Those ads are extremely expensive and something was very wrong with the game.

Possible flop: Killzone 2.

For this game not to be considered a flop, it has to sell 2m+ and it has to be pretty spectacular. The budget, the delays, the hype, everything has had this game in the forefront of PS3 owner's minds since before the console even released. I think this has a pretty good chance of flopping. My faith in Guerrilla is not very high.

Possible flop: LittleBigPlanet.

I think this game will be great. What I don't know is whether Joe Consumer will fall in love with it and whether it will sell worth a damn. That still remains to be seen.

MGS4, GTA IV, Resistance 2... Not flops. Not even close. All will sell well for their respective developers.

Haze -- Average...NOT a flop

LBP -- could FLOP badly imo

MGS4 -- HELL NO!..HIT..BIG HIT

RES 2 -- MAJOR FPS hit like COD4 was last year for the PS3

GTA IV -- Super Duper Buper Hit

Haze- probably will flop. Too many delays and little hype.

Little Big Planet- will be very good, but does not fit the PS3 audience. I'm going to say flop, though if it gets good word of mouth reviews, it could do well.

Killzone 2: FLOP! Just look at the franchise track record. The games aren't great, and it would have to be amazing for it to get a look from most people. It's already cost so much money that it will have to be a multimillion seller to not be considered a flop.

 About what i was going to say.

Though Resistance 2 may underperform some forum goers expectations... but a lot of forum goers just have unreasonable expectations for things.

I'm not sure LPB fits ANYONES audience. (yes including Wii.)

Though it depends on what you consider a "flop".  Killzone and Resistance might sell well, but what is a success for those?  Million?  Dunno if they'll make it.  

 If Sony would get the online play going full go, then these shooters would do better.  It's so much more fun to play the online shooters on 360 IMO if you have lots of friends on there.  So much easier to manage large parties and stuff.  What good is 60-player online if it's so hard to shoot messages around and get together with multiple friends.  If you have to leave the game to check messages for that, it'll be a mess.

LBP will sell ok, but it's not going to set the world on fire in sales.

 

GTA and MGS are no-brainers.
