Forums - Gaming - Madden '08 for the wii - Features revealed

5 versions of the game will likely sell at least 500K copies--everything but DS. PS2 and 360 were the ones I was assuming would beat the Wii version, and the PS3 version will almost certainly be behind. Not sure where PSP will land, but it sold about 700K last year. I don't think Wii is getting NCAA football this year, which is lame. EA just weren't prepared for Wii, which is bad for everyone (N, EA, gamers), until they finish catching up.

It was said that if Madden '08 does well on the Wii, we can expect to see NCAA football brought to the Wii also.

Nobody is crazy enough to accuse me of being sane.

....So it's basically getting everything Madden 07 had for the 360? Sweet! The only new additions are the use if Miis. The 08/09 roster updates are most likely going to be on all systems.

I actually have Madden 07 for 360. The Wii version had more features than the 360 and PS3 version of Madden 07. The Wii version actually had the most content and play modes for any Madden version, but it had two glaring omissions. No online play and no roster updates. Supposedly EA is finally getting the 360/PS3 version of Madden up to part with the last gen versions as far as gameplay and features goes but they said the same thing last year. Of course this year 2K Sports is releasing All Pro Football 2K8. Maybe thats why Madden 08 for 360/PS3 will finally run at 60fps among other things.

what excites me more is a third party is actually getting access to the Mii's / online portal - FINALLY!! Do you think Nintendo has just approached EA and asked them to be the first third party to test out the service? or do ou think it's now readily available for all developers? The thought of third party developers having access to the mii code system (if this is for real) and full unrestricted access is gonna seriously be massive for nintendo in the long run, they'll be no stopping the Wii's success

Those people that think they're perfect give a bad reputation to us who are...

"With the DS, it's fair to say that Nintendo stepped out of the technical race and went for a feature differentiation with the touch screen, but I fear that it won't have a lasting impact beyond that of a gimmick - so the long-lasting appeal of the platform is at peril as a direct result of that." - Phil Harrison, Sony

Its available to all developers, and I think it has been for awhile.

but now EA have tackled Wii online, guess we are gonna see it on (here's hoping anyway) Fifa, Tiger Woods, Need for Speed game just announced and perhaps even boogie (still think this could be as big as ps2's singstar if they include correct online features, not my type of game though).
