I really enjoyed the PSVR1 for about 2 years, and than I just stopped playing it one day and didn't go back.

Around the Network

I have fun on the few times I tried, but it was not significant enough to justify a purchase. Since my first try, that was years ago, nothing has changed.

Those systems are in need of a groundbreak and ambitious title that make feel all the equipment is necessary to play the game.

Guess is my fault for living in a time that VR is not appealing enough...🤷‍♂️

We reap what we sow

I've never tried it but do really wanna at some point one big reason being Half-Life: Alyx. In general it seems like a truly special experience you can't really get elsewhere though I will say that stuff like all the exclusivity is a big turn off for investing into VR cause I'm not buying more than one headset. If I had to pick I think I'd go with the next one Valve puts out assuming that is happening cause I'd want a proper high end experience but not able to access a lot of games on it would suck so hopefully VR shifts away from that in the coming years.

Don't become this guy ;)

HL: Alyx isn't the best anymore either:

Vertigo 2, Lone Echo 1 & 2, Resident Evil 4/8 VR, and Skyrim VR (with mods) offer comparable or even superior experiences for some players, depending on their preferences. Many VR enthusiasts also point to games like Saints & Sinners, Budget Cuts, and Into the Radius as being on par with or exceeding Half-Life: Alyx in certain aspects.

It's a 5 year old game at this point, progress doesn't stand still.

You can play it now on PSVR2 with the PC adapter

Or on Quest

Both have better resolution than Valve Index, but of course it ultimately depends on your PC.

If you're waiting for Index 2 rumored to be $1200 if it comes out.

I mean I'll get a headset before my 40's at least lol. I'm sure there's other amazing experiences but I'm a big Half-Life fan so it's by far the one that interests me the most and I can't leave that series incomplete. For the Deckard as long as it stays under a grand I'll be completely fine with getting it but that expensive would be certainly be pushing it. My idea is to get a top notch headset soon as it comes out and use it a long time.
