Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo announced a Donkey Kong Bananza Direct for June 18th

This game has something that I feel so many 3d platformers lack. That is a move set that chains together well. It really enhances player freedom and thinking outside the box. As much as I liked a game like astrobot, I found the movement in the game to feel a bit lacking compared to the best that the genre has to offer.

I did not watch the presentation, but reading the comments here…wow it sounds like there’s a *ton* of hype now. I’m pumped!!

*holds Pauline closely but gently* I will engage in acts of extreme violence to protect this smol baby!!

And even better news, Diddy and Dixie are gonna be there!! ^^

OMG , Justice for Dixie Kong!!

Im totally buying this day 1

I've heard that the Direct had a glimpse at possibly King K Rool somewhere, but I didn't notice.

This reminds me of K Rool's toes in DK64, but idk why they would be acting like this lol

I thought that was just plant matter forming a roadway.

Why is DK64 not on NSO?

I'm REALLY hoping it gets added next month in time for the release of Bananza. I have no idea why it's taking so long though. It was the second N64 game to get released on the Wii U Virtual Console after Super Mario 64, so I can only think of a licensing issue with the original characters that are exclusive to that game.
