Pricing finally revealed: The Xbox Ally will cost $599, and the more powerful Xbox Ally X will cost a massive $999

Price is way too high in my opinion and I paid $700 for the Z1E Rog Ally. The Z2E is only about 15-20% faster than the Z1E and we already see something like the Switch 2 match or exceed the Z1E (and Z2E) in next-gen titles like Star Wars Outlaws. The Z2A in the regular Xbox Ally is a weaker Zen 2 chip. 

Price should be $599 for the Ally X and $350 - $400 for the regular Ally, which is basically just an Xbox LCD Steam Deck. 

Who the fuck is buying these? lol. MS should at least build their own portable PC rather than using Asus's products and putting a sticker on them. This is just embarrassing.

How do prices compare to non-Xbox models? And how much of it is going into Asus's pocket? Microsoft is so weird man...

UK Price is about as expected it's same as the ROG Ally X. USA price however is $200 more than the ROG Ally X. Considering that's the market where the Xbox brand is the strongest pretty rough.

As you can find pre-owned Ally Z1E's in the UK for around the £300 mark and the Z2E isn't a major performance boost over it I'm not interested in a £799 Z2E handheld. I imagine this time next year these (or other Z2E devices) will be significantly cheaper, especially as RDNA4 powered handhelds should be entering the scene.

As it stands very hard sell in terms of value over just getting an old Z1E device for much much cheaper.

I guess they want those devices to flop at least as hard as Xbox Series. =P

Yeah at these prices, this thing is gonna make the Vita look like the PS2.

You can buy both a Switch 2 and a PS5 for the price of the Xbox Ally X, and either one for less than the base Xbox Ally, with change to spare.

999$ is not gonna sell.... at that price I doubt it even sells 1m units (lifetime).

Holy guacamole, here in Australia it is $1000 AUD for the base model and $1600 for the X.

Yeahhhhh, it will probably not be able to run all of the latest gen's games, AND/OR have a big downgrade in graphics quality, and be out of juice in about 40 minutes. You can't have everything....... and portables blow.

The lower tier model is a terrible deal.
