Doom, CoD, Oblivion, Minecraft would have charted regardless if MS bought them or not. CoD and Minecraft especially have charted for how many months in a row?

The only major difference is Forza Horizon 5. But right now is a slow time so any decent game should chart above GTA V.

Err.. that's not the point. Who made these games, and who bought who (and when) is irrelevant. The point is that this games ARE in Game Pass, and yet, Sony fans love to keep repeating (nonchalantly and shamelessly) the line: "There is nothing worth playing on GP". As if we couldn't see the games that they buy every single month.

Personally, I think there is nothing on GP worth paying the $15-$17 monthly fee.

That is despite my most played games in the last 4 years being MS/ Gamepass games.

That's what happens when a platform turns into a 3rd party publisher due to failing hardware year after year.

I think what this shows is people on other platforms want Microsoft's games. They just don't want to buy a gaming pc or Xbox to play them. So in my opinion they made the right call to make their games (at least most of them) available on Playstation, Switch, and soon Switch 2. People that still want to play on Xbox still have access to their games. Everyone wins.

The only game on the list that is a Microsoft game was FH5 and a good game so congrats to that but the other IP's on that sales list already have built in audiences on the PS platform such as Doom, Call of Duty, Minecraft, Elder Scrolls. etc All MS did was purchase those IP's years after the fanbase was already established. It has nothing to do with people not willing to buy a PC or Xbox to play them because the very next iteration of those IP's were never made exclusive. Everyone wins at this point but at the trade off of Xbox hardware sales.  MS is making the only call they can at this point because they spent too much money trying to buy the entire industry until it caught the eye of Satya, Amy Hood and the shareholders.

MLB The Show 25 is not in Gamepass.

The Switch gets back 2nd place despite the successor coming out right after May so Xbox is truly finished. I'd like to think this is the last time the Switch beats it in the US since it will have notably declined in June but it's possible the Xbox Series declined as much since June is the first full month of the price increase since in early May there will have been at least a bit of Xbox panic buying before the old prices completely went away.

Speaking of panic buying it doesn't seem the PS5 benefited from that much considering it did barely any different compared to April though perhaps it would've been somewhat lower if Xbox didn't increase prices.
