Forums - Nintendo - Rant about Switch 2 pricing in the nordics

So I'm not going to complain about the official price of the Switch 2 in general. I feel it's not surprising and after all cost of things do go up over time.

The thing that irks me is that in the Nordics, where Bergsala AB has the distribution rights for Nintendo products (and has had that right since the 1980's), they decided to hike the price for the hardware unreasonably.

Here in Sweden if I want to buy a Nintendo Switch 2 I'll have to pay (inkl VAT etc) 6 795 kr that is  621,40 € at the same time if I order from some other EU country, not under the Bergsala AB umbrella, I only have to pay 469,99 € (in this case Germany). Now there are a slight difference in VAT between the countries but that difference does not make up the difference in price.

At least this seems to mainly affect the hardware price. If I look at for example Mario Kart World the difference is smaller between the countries 89,99 € from abroad compared to 999 kr (91,36 €).

That's all I had to say, thank you for reading my rant!
