While i wouldn't rule it out, i think this is just wishful thinking.

The truth is that the only thing that matters to port it is that if the engine could run on the wii... if that is possible then the graphics and all that is just a matter of using san tricks and downgrading a few things... i think nowadays anything is possible considering that a few months ago it was outrageous to think that DMC4 wouldn't be a ps3 exclusive... in my country there is a saying that i will translate... " if there is money, the monkey will dance"
Well strictly speaking there isn't much other than graphics that they'd have to cut to make the game run on the Wii. It's got nifty physics and some huge enemies from what I've seen, but nothing a console with more power than the original Xbox shouldn't be able to handle.
Then again the graphics are pretty much the only reason people are interested in this game, and there isn't much of the hype left if you take that out.
Of course it's entirely possible that EA has realised how poor ports of poor games sell poorly on the Wii, and decided they wanted to port one of the higher profile games. The name of Crysis is so big that it would probably sell well, and this is EA we're talking about here. They're probably planning on starting Xbox 360 and PS3 portion projects right after the PC version is ready, no matter what the original team says or does about it.
Well, the graphics and the AI. That is why I doubt it would be going to the Wii.
I would be extremely surprised to see this game on the Wii. It would be great, don't get me wrong, to see a Wii port of the Crytek engine, because a lot of games are going to be developed using it, but the same could be said for the Unreal 3 engine and that doesn't seem likely on the Wii either. And frankly, I'm more excited about the possibility of Travellers' Tales porting their engine for Sam & Max to the Wii -- another barely-founded rumor that seems more feasible on the technical side.
Highly unlikely would be GROSS understatement. Crytek has been saying how the game is "not possible" on PS3 and 360. If they seem unwilling to "scale back" the game for 360 and PS3 then I doubt there will be a Wii version. BTW I have used the parentheses because I really don't buy the fact that Crysis can't be done on PS3 and 360. If they can do a close to perfect port of Doom 3 on aging X-box hardware, Crysis can be done on 360 and PS3.

I think we're more likely to see super mario galaxy ported over to the ps3!
call me Aaronbunny!

Agreed. What they probably mean is that there are a few effects that take a ton of processing power and have almost no visible effect on graphical quality. That's how a lot of these "take it to the limit!" games work: 95 percent of their graphics make up 66 percent of the computational power, then the last 5 percent uses 1/3 of the processor. Take off the last 5 percent, and voila, you have yourself a PS3 game.
Now, I don't have any insider information, so they could really be telling the complete truth when they say it isn't possible on the PS3/360. Regardless, one should note that we're already running into software that needs to be scaled down to work on the PS3 -- anyone who thinks any hardware is "future proof" is fooling themselves. There is no.such.thing.

NOT gonna happen, because Mario is Nintendo's all-star. Why would they try to help the PS3? It just doesnt happen.
