Without technological advancement we either needed to enslave farm workers or pay $1000 for a piece of bread.

When it comes to Ai in the artist space, either learn it and use it to your advantage and triple your salary or complain about it.

Ai doesn't replace jobs, it's the people who learn how to use it who will.

Tell that to all those Microsoft employees who were replaced with AI.

AI won't triple your salary as an artist, it'll eliminate it.

Nice to see how many AI shills we have on this site.

Only shill is you due to lack of economic understanding and flat denial that AI is here.  Even if the US and the EU were to stop AI, places like China and Russia won't.  Only thing that will happen is we turn the world over to them.  Life exists outside your little bubble.

Well excuse me for not wanting AI to ruin the world, which is starting with terrible AI generated commercials and generative AI winning Game of The Year.

Besides, AI generated "art" isn't even the "artist's" original work. The AI looks to previously made art by actual artists and plagiarizes it, just adding extra fingers. You want people to make money off plagiarism? Good to know.

Yeah.  You definitely didn't comprehend my post, assuming you even read it.

There are bigger things at play than your little world.

Yeah.  You definitely didn't comprehend my post, assuming you even read it.

I did read it, and all I got from it is "AI is the future, you're fucked, goodbye.". You're going by the same logic as keyboard warriors who have never even drawn with a pencil.

Like I said, you obviously dont comprehend anything outside your tiny world.

Well now you're not reading MY posts, and I HAVE looked outside my "tiny world" many times, I've done it for more than 30 years. How else do I know about what's going on in politics or changes in the global economy?

If you understand economics then you should be able to comprehend that if China goes all in, which they are, they can offer products at a fraction of the price.  They will take over markets and use their wealth to expand their military and technology might...  leaving the rest of the world in their shadow.  The US and EU can't say no to AI.  The very idea that it is as simple as saying "no" to AI is naive, childish and frankly stupid.

Oh, so I'm stupid for not wanting the US military to make Skynet a reality. The US government taking inspiration from dystopian works has ALWAYS been a good idea, like The Handmaid's Tale basically inspiring the overturning of Roe V Wade.

And newsflash, you're human too, so by siding with AI advocates you're essentially advocating for your own species' extinction.
