It's understandable to not promise that every game will be backwards compatible. You never know if one game may be troublesome to get to an acceptable playable state for whatever reason, and then you may have a false advertisement lawsuits on your hand. Elden Ring is great. You can make it as difficult or easy as you want it to be, since they allow you to explore most of the world right from the start. And very few bosses require defeating in order to progress. Maybe just 2 or 3? Not counting the final boss segment. |
I stand corrected.
It seems my expectations were a bit off from what's been reported today.
As I predicted months ago, Switch 2 is EXTREMELY weak. 🤷♂️

The weakest Ampere GPU ever made, no RT shown yesterday, no DLSS either. 🤷♂️
Cyberpunk 2077 = 540p~1080p/30fps (Unstable)
Elden Ring = 1080p/30fps
FFVII (PS4 Version) = 1080p/30fps (Unstable)
Zelda BOTW/TOTK = 1440p/60fps pic.twitter.com/P6NP5AOVvY
Although I expected 60fps with the expectation of DLSS being used, but for some reason it's not featured in any of these titles.
I thought for sure DLSS was a big incentive for them to port these games.
Maybe it will be added later? But weird not to launch with it if the games are 30 fps.
Supposedly Digital Foundry reported on the assets in FF7 Remake being from the PS4 version, despite having Integrade in the name.
Jason Schreier said Cyberpunk ran at 40fps in Performance Mode. I guess no DLSS there either.
Cyberpunk 2077 On Nintendo Switch 2 Runs At 40 FPS, Costs $70 - Insider Gaming
Though I think Elden Ring and FF7 Remake are fine to play at 30fps, but I expected DLSS support for these type of third party games.
