The 2 and U were much harder to rank than the two first. NSMB 2's problem is the coin collecting, U feels so bland, lame and sterile having nothing even remotedly new in it. NSMB games are a bit sterile in general, and if you compare Super Mario Galaxy to NSMB Wii, the atmosphere in SMG is much more exciting.

I guess in a way people prefer the first one, but in reality the Wii version was superior in every way and the "NSMB world" had not yet lost it's taste. Also the multiplayer really kicks ass.

New Super Mario Bros. Wii was the best. First time they put 4 player coop was just so good!
