Yeah, I just want a 2D metroidvania game.
Castlevania is a series where, if you try something in 3D, you will be destroyed by the supposed fans of the saga. For some reason.
So, I suppose it would be another 2D game. So, i don't care XD.
If metroid did the same, We never got Metroid Prime.
And by the way: I FUCKING HAAAAATE that "metroidvania" term some retard invented 10-15 years ago. Castlevania and 2D Metroid are NOT the fucking same thing. You can like one but hate the other series.
A 16-bit sequel to Super Castlevania IV, using the exact same team.

some of them they are probably dead.
I would like a game along the lines of Super Castlevania IV, except that it is somehow so unbelievable better that it blows my mind and melts my face. If I can't have that then give me Actraiser with a Castlevania theme.
curl-6 bet me that PS5 + X|S sales would reach 56m before year end 2023 and he was right.
My Bet With curl-6

Good. Then they know first hand how to bring horror back to Castlevania!
What I don't want is anything like Lords of Shadow. What I want is something within the original Castlevania canon. I'd be down for a 2D or 3D Metroidvania, using SOTN or Curse Of Darkness (or Metroid Prime) as templates, respectively. I'd also be down for an old school Castlevania experience. Dracula's Curse or Rondo would be the best places to start.
But since they say it's gonna be a (barf) Triple A experience. I expect none of that. I hope I'm proven wrong, but chances are more likely for it to be closer to Lords of Shadow than anything else. It'll probably be a reboot, and a Castlevania game in name only. Prove me wrong, Konami.

My Castlevania experience started with the first three on NES, then to SOTN, and then finally ended with the trilogy on GBA and Castlevania 4. So I don't get the reference. Thankfully.

I also started on NES. SotN made the series an RPG and Glam metal. I want it to focus on gothic linear horror again like classicvania.
