Forums - Politics - Trump to begin new tariffs on Canada, Mexico, and China

Those tariffs against China ain't gonna stay this high. Trump put himself in a really bad place and his massive ego is preventing him from backtracking and humiliating himself further. Inevitably, he will backtrack. Decoupling from China so abruptly has catastrophic consequences on the US.

Interesting article, which forms a mesh of the big picture with others that i've read. Basically, the auto industry in america is cutting production since we expect to export fewer vehicles, because of the counter-tariffs. Mazda is going to pause or stop production on one of its vehicles. So, the trump administration has put through a way to look tough on evil canada, and china, while making things not so bad towards the auto industry. Politics is so two-faced its unbeleivable sometimes. Trump realizes that this is causing problems, but he has to continue so as not to look like a weak president who is also a dumbass that questions every move that he made. Here's the article, and you all can judge for yourselves.
