This is your RTX5090 launch! They got 4 (!!) Units in total. It was not possible to preorder. Of course they sell more than 4 (😅) units. What sort of artificial demand is this?! NOTHING compared to Wii or PS4! Compare and see!

Again: Why do you romanticize such a behavior?

Storming stores, destroying some of these consoles or stuff "in the way", attacking other customers...

But lets get real. You oversaw that i made a mistake and i did not undertand the video with the RTX correctly (You see? Compared to some other folks here, I am able to admit when i am wrong! There where 66 RTX 5080. But only 4 of them where RTX 5090 models. But still 66 GPUs are much less than a full console launch!) But for the Wii's midnight launch on Time Square they had 4000 consoles for ~3000 buyers. They where sold out during the same day.

Back to topic: Its not about destroying inventory oor consoles, it showes the hysteria that is created by these consoles. This is a Level no RTX... will ever create! This is what i mean! Its like when you rush to a concert seeing a famous liveband. People storm in to get te bet places (possibly first row) and they take ever risk to get it. At the Wii launch we had broken glass. There was blood on the floor. We even had to call the ambulance! But i am sure the same happened at the launch of some random GPU as well, no? What sounds brutal actually happened! You see? The hype, emotions and hysteria games consoles and their games (especially physical ones) create can never be met by some digital launch! 

You are very strange if you enjoy that kind of violence and see it as a positive.

I preordered my Wii in a small toy shop in our town. Picked it up after work without having to throw myself into a crowd.

And since PS3 I preordered all my consoles (and other hardware) online and got all of it delivered on time.

Where did i say that i enjoy this kind of violence? I just showed you the emotions such consoles can create and their games. And i compared it with this RTX5090 launch wich i think we both agree was nothing compared to the Wii and the PS4 launch! I experienced both launches live! And i was in that crowd as well. I got scars and blood was running over my face. A fat guy fell on my feet, securities stormed in and that was not the only store where that happened. I believe you that you got your PS3 without problems because we know that its launch didn't go well at all! You could order online but in 2006 more people still bought in stores and even today people lining up is no rarety what even your RTX5090 launch perfectly showes. Obviously not as exteme as the Wii/ PS4 but still. 

You say that i enjoy violence? I've been critizised for not showing sources for what i say. All I did was taking the nice and obviously very helpfull advice of some users here. Yes the videos are brutal but there are no other possibilities to back up what i say. And i think we are no children anymore and we all can take some brutal contend, especially because we all play violent games and watch violent movies.
