Are you thinking Q3 or Q4 release? With a direct coming only in April I think there is no way it's coming in first half of the year |
Going by the original switch. The release date was announced January 13th and released March 3rd. So late May/early June is a possibility.
BasilZero said: The disclaimer stating that some games are not compatible - I wonder which games that would be. |
Maybe those cardboard box games, cause the switch 2 is bigger than 1, prolly cant fit in.

Now the question is how much more leaks out between now and April lmao. I thought Nintendo would just get everything out there pretty quick but almost 3 months is a long time.
Is this the first numbered non-playstation console ever? I know there are numbered home computers like MSX2. Its the safest name and the Switch deserves it.
What game announcements are we expecting? I might buy it close to launch if Metroid Prime 4 takes advantage of the hardware.

This. Why would you showcase your new and more powerful hardware with a Mario Kart game that looks almost identical to MK8. I thought it was MK8 until the posters in here pointed out a few differences

Community or Chat alternative to Miiverse
Supposedly "Campus" according to rumors

Numbered yes and I'm glad they went the safe and sure route. No need for needless innovation. Basically dont fix what isnt broken.
Mario Kart 9 for sure since it was basically showcased in this trailer drop.
A 3D Mario is rumored but not for launch, likely a holiday release. There's still Switch 1 games coming out like Pokemon Legends ZA.

Games with this art style will not get major visual upgrades that are instantly noticeable without side by side comparisons.
Noticed that the bezels are still pretty big (the area of the screen that isn't used). But they are on the Steamdeck as well.

They wouldnt want to wait too long because Switch 1 sales are gonna drop (unless they do price cuts or retailers do price cuts to clean out stock). |
Since they make so much more money on software than they do on console sales, I don't imagine lack of growth would be an issue at this point when they have 140M+ systems out in the wild.
Main question is probably how many of them are still actively buying games, and to what degree.

Well show a different game with a different art style then. Show something to help people understand the improvement they're getting
