Playing Where Winds Meet on PS5. An incredible game seriously hurt by many technical and localization issues.
I just reached Kaifeng and it's getting ridiculous. Framerate and pop-in got much worse. One main quest had me fighting enemies animated at like 6 frames per second. Yes, "six" frames per second for a game that requires Sekiro-like reactions and precision lol.

| LegitHyperbole said: Trying to get Silent Hill 2 going. Quite interesting so far, just really vibey and atmospheric yet I see no point in an open world map if everything is linear anyway. It's good, hope I continue. |
Also been playing Silent Hill 2, finished it today and not going to do a NG+ or try to get all 8 endings.
I love the map and how it gets updated with clues or stuff you still have to do in a room.
Love the graphics but it also annoyed me because it feels copy and paste sometimes and the enemies weren't scary but more an annoyance. Less enemies would have been better.
Still I would give it a solid 8/10
FOr the fun also started up my Silent HIll 2/3 HD collection and oh boy the orignal game looks so bad now.

I played Pools last night on PSVR2. It's just a walking simulator but feels so real in VR with the very realistic HDR lighting. You're basically traversing a maze of weirdly connected spaces. No enemies, just weirdness. Playing this feels like being in a dream world, trying to get somewhere, not knowing where or why, but eventually you get there.
At some point I swear I could smell the chlorine stained air you get in real pools lol. Plunging in the water from a water slide had me holding my breath as well then wanted to wipe the water out of my eyes. Fun trickery.

Cyber Lip. The SNK take on Contra before SNK became known for fighting games. The game that was in the infamous magazine ad.Doing a second run now. It's not the best esp compared to run n guns of the era but it's ok. It is on sale on Xbox.

Speaking of SNK, been playing a LOT of Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves! I'll squeeze at least an hour or two every other day. The fighting feels much more impactful than Street Fighter 6, and I never get tired of the cel-shaded/comic book style graphics. Outside of the 2 meme fighters, I have 0 complaints about this game.
Makes me excited to see what Art of Fighting 4 will look like.

You called down the thunder, now reap the whirlwind
Finally arrived at the final part of my Half Life Anthology replay and man, playing them back to back really highlights just how much of a leap Half Life 2 was from the previous games. Playing it on the Deck is weirdly refreshing when you consider I’ve replayed HL2 almost every year or two since it released.
HL2 really is the definition (of a term I truly fucking hate) “timeless”, this was 21yrs ago. Gameplay is just as good today as it was back then too.
The 3/4 game was HL: Opposing Force. No idea what the general community sentiment is to this one but personally I enjoyed, Gearbox sure ain’t a studio I care these days but they did an alright job back then.
Ride The Chariot | ‘25 Completion
I played Hotel Infinity today. About a 90 minute 'experience' puzzle type game.
Finished it in one standing, some of the gameplay:
You basically walk around the same 2x2 meter space to advance to a linear maze with puzzles. Like walking through a house of mirrors, closest you can get to walking around on the holo deck today lol.
(It alternates left/right turns enough not to get the cable twisted)

MLB 24. Surprisingly fun to play. But I'm not diving into the whole team card pack thing. Don't care enough about baseball lol
