The adaptive triggers sound cool. I'd probably also turn them off or at least lower their effect I imagine. But, it's something that can be iterated on. At least you can't accuse Sony of not trying to increase the immersion between hardware and software in this sense.

But honestly, more games should just be using the gyro features. Always weird hearing of games not having that enabled on PS5.

Rachet and Clanks use of it is absolutely incredible, just a tad bit too strong but the lower settings aren't nearly as impressive with the triggers vibrating and giving fantastic feedback. As soon as you become glitch and the other lombax...wow. that's very impressive indeed. I'm gobsmacked by how much bringing the sense of touch into the game in such a rudimentary and simple way enhances and alters how the game feels in the mind and how the whole essence of play is altered.

Oh, they are more than cool, like I said in the OP, the controller is game changing but yeah, they feel cool as all fuck.

For the DS6 They could add haptics to the thumb sticks, face buttons, Dead and add a surface to the part of the controller your palms rest on, something like one of those back messagessers where twitter may roll under a soft panel surface. There is so much potential here without going fully on gloves. Add in warmth and cooling pads and perhaps even an electric shock vibration like in a dog collar when you take secere damage.. maybe I'm thinking too big.

Cool a 30-second battery life and send shocks to people with pacemakers/ICD's playing a game. Great idea that won't possibly kill them.

Not game changer but definitly a great feature. It surely make the control of many games much more immersive, Horizon and Astrobot come to mind

Comparing playing GT7 on PS4 and PS5 (which I did a lot of, switching back and forth since online is split and half the people I regularly raced with stayed on PS4) it is definitely a huge enhancement. On PS5 I can tell what kind of kerb or edge the wheels are touching, while on PS4 it feels the same. You can also feel the transmission, as well as traction through the triggers.

So yes it's sort of game changing as racing on PS4 I rely on the sound (turn up the tire squeal) to drive on the 'edge' while on PS5 I can do it without sound.

More feedback is always good. Even the simple headset rumble (PSVR2) is missed when not used. Haptic feedback is great.

A dog collar shock isn't a shock these days, it's just a really sharp vibration. Wouldn't kill a soul.

It's a stupid idea.

Yep, Racers and shooter are definitely being enhanced. Even Cyberpunk and The Witcher 3 feels more punchy to play because of it, though. I suppose the definition of game changing varies from person to person.

Oh, and they have it in the headset? What's it do?
