Forums - Movies & TV - Physical Media Collectors |OT| (TV shows, movies)

I guess it's been a while since I've posted.  I've ordered quite a bit this past month. Upgraded my House DVDs, started a Looney Tunes collection, and continued buying more anime.

Colors Within (anime movie)
The Good, the Bad, the ugly 4k
Superman 4k collection
To Your Eternity (anime)
House MD blu-ray
Tower of God (anime)
Shikimori's not just a cutie (anime)
Dandadan (anime)
Rain Man 4k
Looney Tunes Platinum Collection 3 blu-ray
Looney Tunes Collector's Vault 1 blu-ray
Psycho-Pass blu-ray
Minecraft Movie 4k
Social Network 4k
Steins;Gate

I ordered Steins;Gate and Social Network from zavvi - importing them from the UK. So that's fun.

Its crazy seeing people almost give away their blu ray collections on facebook marketplace. People just gave up and dont know what do to with their collections or are too out of time to try to sell them properly.
What almost broke my heart was seeing today a guy selling a huge cd collection for 300 bucks as "this was my grandpa cd collection" he probably got it as heritance and need to get rid of it.
I hope my son, after I die, just dont give away some day my copy of vagrant story and xenogears and my 800 cd collection.

My collection proved useful again a couple days ago. Work on the cable outside, couple days no / intermittent internet... It was fun to watch some older movies again and actually surprising how good DVD still looks on a 4K TV.

It was nice to watch movies without internet distractions!

I bought A LOT of 3D-Blu-rays and 2D-Blu-rays (and a few 4K Ultra HDs) in the last months.

Had to increase the shelves up to the ceiling:

I bought the Seinfeld 4k set.

On the pricier end - normally $250, has been on sale for $165.

It's a very nice set though - the 4k set is in the original aspect ratio, whereas the blu-ray is 16:9.

I still have the DVD boxes with shitty image quality.

Nice! I've thought about picking this up since I love the comedy in this show but considering the price and the rare times in the mood for comedies, I can't really justify it.

I hope this is a good omen for more classic TV shows coming to 4k though! There are some like 24 and Rome  that I would 100% purchase in 4k.

As part of the Amazon Prime Sales, got basically all of the Demon Slayer anime and the Bugs Bunny 80th anniversary set.

Been buying more anime lately. Chainsaw Man, Konosuba, Frieren part 2 preorder.

Have a few preorders -  Frieren , Superman (2025), The Naked Gun, Flow

I just preordered the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Trilogy 4K. Watched the original in theater the other day too. Such a classic.
