Expect a I hate Joe Rogan post as well for what he said today.
NBC asked JD Vance about Laura Loomer's racist statement that the WH would "smell like curry" if Harris wins.
— John Harwood (@JohnJHarwood) September 17, 2024
Calling it unimportant, Vance replied:
"whether you're eating curry at your dinner table or fried chicken, things have gotten more expensive thanks to her policies."
This fucking dude...

Trump is escalating his immigrant rhetoric lately, a bit scary how he's trying to turn an entire country against immigrants of all kinds, making up outright disgusting lies about them stealing your pets and eating them, calling them animals, talking about how they're going to liberate America from them, it's all sorts of hateful and inflammatory language and it's being directed at immigrants of all kinds. |
Sorry to those who think we have to handle Trump with kids gloves, but it has to be said. This is exactly the sort of thing Hitler did. This kind of rhetoric is what lays the groundwork for atrocities. Sorrynotsorry.

I don't think any third party candidate actually expects to win. In the cases where they actually have good intentions, the purpose is to try and force a policy shift. For example, both parties generally can be said to favor Israel. If there were a third party candidate who ran primarily based on opposition to fracking and was receiving 4% of the popular vote. Harris would likely have to consider changing her position on fracking to get them to drop out (although it may be too late for that) or to endorse her.
If we were to be more cynical, it can be intentionally to sabotage one party in order to either help the other, or to extract benefits. This seems somewhat the case with Robert Kennedy who initially was a spoiler for Harris, but because of his antivax and generally conspiratorial leaning seemed to be taking as much or more from Trump. So, he offered to drop out and endorse in exchange for some favor.
I do wish we had a parliamentary system where choosing a third party candidate may be a logical choice, but alas we don't. I find it hard to criticize third party candidates generally, because doing so keeps the current broken system in tact, but this election is not the time to rock the boat.

Yup. It's what I thought after all the recent rhetoric, it's exactly the same sort of shit that Nazi Germany led with before they started executing everyone, I'll say again, before, in case I receive a dense reply that Trump isn't killing people so I'm a woke snowflake idiot, Lol. I'm not saying he's going to either but this is exactly how it starts, demonise an entire group, make up vicious lies about them to turn the country against them, treat them as animals, speak about rounding them up and liberating your country from them, despite many being legal residents.
Yeah...Politicians have criticised immigration and immigrants in the UK but Trump's taking it to another level and it feels uncomfortable, it does feel like his racist extremist anti-immigrant is the only thing he has left at this stage though so he's tripling down on that and hoping the bigot base is enough to overcome Harris, though as demonstrated by far-right or even right-wing across Europe, they'll scream about immigrants, not have any other policies but once they get into power won't do a thing about it because hate is how they get into power.

It's reported that there have been 33 bomb threats in Springfield Ohio during the past seven days. Meanwhile, Vance is telling America that the democrats have to dial down their rhetoric, shortly after he himself admitted that the pet-eating-story he pushed is made up. The created story that quickly led to direct consequences that are without any shred of doubt linked to the behavior of Trump and Vance. On the other hand, there's no link whatsoever between the rhetoric of the democrats and the latest attempted assassination on Trump.
Just a few days ago you said something to the effect that the American people are stupid. Yes, they truly are when they are falling for something as basic as this.
Legend11 correctly predicted that GTA IV will outsell Super Smash Bros. Brawl. I was wrong.

Did Hitler personally kill anybody, aside from his service in the Bavarian army when he was 25? I'm guessing that other than his years as a WWI foot-soldier that he relied entirely on others to do his dirty work for him.
Trump, Vance, and their giga-brain followers have pretty much shut down Springfield.
And just to be crystal-clear, "giga-brain followers" was sarcasm.

There have always been these kinds of people in America, and I presume in other countries. However, while I may disagree with them on many things, people like Bush, McCain, and Romney were decent enough to not try and appeal to the lunatic fringe. It's hard to imagine what things would have been like if Trump had been president on 9/11. Don't think Bush handled it well, but at least he did not try to incite people against muslim Americans, even though it would probably have been a politically savvy move. Trump on the other hand will say anything he thinks will help him. Especially now as losing the election may mean going to prison.
When Trump lost the election and then insisted he won and tried to illegally change the results, I honestly thought that would be a bridge too far. It's clear now that the vast majority of them are spineless, power hungry, or both. Aside from a select few, they will not speak out against Trump no matter what. Fellas, find yourself a woman who will support you like the Republicans support Trump.

In the interest of accuracy, it appears the clip of him calling immigrants animals is from around April. To me that is not really important, just shows he's always been a piece of shit, but to be fair it is not a recent escalation.
