"The Democratic National Convention will feature speeches by three presidents when the party gathers next week in Chicago to formally recognize Vice President Kamala Harris as its nominee.

President Biden, former President Barack Obama, former President Bill Clinton, and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who was the party's nominee in 2016, are set to make remarks at next week's four-day event, according to a source familiar with the planning.

Mr. Biden and Hillary Clinton are expected to deliver speeches on Monday. Obama is planned for Tuesday and Bill Clinton on Wednesday.

Harris' running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, is expected to officially accept the vice presidential nomination Wednesday night. Harris will take the stage on Thursday, the final night of the convention, to formally accept the presidential nomination."

This is so annoying of the democrats. Sure, I get giving Hillary a speaking role because she was the last female nominee but there is no good reason to give Bill Clinton another speaking role.  I understand he is an incredible orator but his time has passed, he is not relevant anymore and his further involvement only hurts the party.

It's less about Clinton himself and more about having 3 current/prior presidents directly support Harris.  It's a rub in the face of Trump who had 0 do the same for him.  Yeah, I know, only 1 former R POTUS besides himself left alive anyway but the point is to show who has support and who doesn't.

I understand but its pointless. We all know they support her, it doesn't help her campaign at all. Instead it gives R's talking points for a night that dems are hypocrites for criticizing Trump's sexism/assault on women while clapping like seals for Bill Clinton.

No one but dem party loyalists care to see the Clinton's and the persuadable voters Kamala is trying to go after do not like them. I say this as someone who actually is a fan of theirs.

You are way overthinking this. Bill Clinton is still a popular past president and the American public as a whole strongly disapproved of his impeachment. Anyone who isn't going to vote for Harris giving the excuse the fucking Clintons showed up in a Democratic convention (like they did in 2008, 2012, 2020...) aren't going to vote for Harris at all. Period.

Any chance Shapiro and Whitmer will speak at the DNC? Those two are amazing at rallying crowds, both from important swing states and as it stands right now, are the clear frontrunners for the Democrat Party in the future.

As the expression goes, "There's no there there."   Persuadable voters are have the following 2 choice:

1. Support Harris despite having a former president alleged to have sexually assaulted someone show up 1 night at her DNC nomination.

2. Support Trump despite himself being found guilty by a jury of committing sexual assault.

So you're stating that these persuadables are going to be mad at Harris for allowing Clinton to speak for an hour and suddenly support Trump?  Seriously, if they do not like Bill Clinton, how the hell do you think they feel about Mr. "Grab 'em by the pussy"?  And hearing more faux outrage from Fox is a drop in the bucket, faux outrage is all they do.  Potential Harris voters aren't likely listening to Fox anyway.  Besides, Fox complaining about Bill's alleged sexual assault but giving Trump a free pass is the ultimate hypocrisy.

Well they could technically vote for RFK, lol.

VGC should consider adding a sarcasm font.

I don't see people having issues with that and going to this guy:

If they claim to, they were probably going to support him anyway.
