Yeah maybe was overreacting a tad. Some people will care but anyone who wasn't going to vote Trump anyway? If you felt personally offended by the comment you probably decided long ago.

I actually think it may backfire. Inflation and immigration are really the two issues that would swaying undecided voters, so less time spent on that may be helpful. If Kamala is smart she can turn this into a conversation about rhetoric and temperament which is probably her strongest issue.

It's also important to keep in mind that the average voter isn't paying attention to politics all the time. They'll hear something about Trump attacking Puerto Ricans, something about Biden attacking Trump's supporters, and carry on with their day.

When they come to vote they will be thinking more about social security and gas prices and their party ID and weight the pros and cons. Whatever politicians (or comedians) have said in the past week will be an afterthought at best.

That is absolutely correct, people voting think in a way simpler way than people realise. Internet discourse do not reflect how people think in the "real" world.

Biden didn't even make a move. If you watch it for yourself what he said in its entirety, it becomes clear that he didn't say "supporters" but supporter's" which is a tremendous difference. He wasn't talking about a lot of people, but the statement of a single person. But even if Biden had called Trump's supporters garbage, what difference would it make; in order to be offended by that, you'd have to be a Trump voter to begin with and you were already going to vote for Trump anyway.

Even before this Biden "incident", Harris has said that he doesn't view people who don't vote her as the enemy, but will give them a seat at the table. And let's not forget that it never came to Harris's nor Biden's minds to block hurricane aid from counties that are dominated by Republican voters, as opposed to Trump who had to be talked out of such ideas during his time in office.

Anyway, Trump will lose this election. Because if he was winning, his campaign wouldn't go in so hard on planting the seeds for the next big lie about a stolen election.

You are clearly right... but are voters intelligent enough to draw the logical conclusion? Maybe not. And there is a separate set of standards applied to republicans.

Nope, voters aren't intelligent enough, but at the same time it's also true that they don't care. The campaigning in the USA is so damn long that almost everything that happens during that time blends together into noise that the average voter tends to ignore because it's so exhausting to keep up with.

That's why I found it surprising that the "floating island of garbage" of all things suddenly mattered and caused an actual reaction from voters. It should have blended in all the same with the typical anger and hatred of the Trump campaign, but somehow it didn't.

The Trump campaign would certainly love this Biden "controversy" to matter, but I don't see it happening. Because just a week before nobody outside of the Trump camp did seem to mind that Trump gets called a fascist.

Legend11 correctly predicted that GTA IV will outsell Super Smash Bros. Brawl. I was wrong.

This too, Biden isn't running for President, Harris is, the more Trump spends attacking Biden is better for Harris.

Republicans are panicking about PA as well

Republicans and Democrats are both panicked about losing PA... So I guess Jill Stein will win the state.

The absolute state of this man, Lol.

Trump's chances in Wisconsin would have been a lot better if the election had been a year ago when the Green Bay Packers had been struggling and their future at QB was being questioned. It was only from mid-November onwards (so after the election would have been) that Jordan Love shut up the doubters in an impressive fashion and the people in Wisconsin were looking towards a very promising future. Even tough Love's statistics leave something to be desired in 2024 (the guy throws too many interceptions), the team has a 6-2 record, so the most important numbers are good.

So now Trump goes to Green Bay and talks about doom and gloom, who does he think is going to buy into that. This is a city that has been coming off back-to-back hall of fame quarterbacks and is looking at the prospect of making that three in a row while most teams in the NFL would be grateful to have just one for once.

Garbage.

If Harris wins I give it 6 months before Jesse is saying it's time to repeal women's right to vote.

For context on this in 2020 53% of voters were women. Going from 53 to 56 would likely lead to a Kamala victory especially if they are driven by abortion which would seem to be the most likely reason for such a jump.  But, it may just be that men are procrastinating.

Surprising to hear this come from someone who works for The Daily Heil, maybe they're more tame in America

With Trump's efforts to appeal to the Manosphere group it feels like he's really counting on those to show up, but these group of young males are often unreliable voters, these toxic incels are too busy crying about everything being WOKE or DEI and rarely leave their house, if they do for Trump then that would be worrying. But I've also felt since Dobbs that women have been consistently underestimated, likely black voters too, some of these Trump +20% with black voters is complete nonsense, Imo.
