I think I needed 5 or so hints for Riven. It's my least favorite Myst, even though 4 was much harder. But the whole series is good stuff, none that I wouldn't have enjoyed.

Transpose (PsVR game) with time bending puzzles is the best I've seen in gaming.

Also, thinking outside the box, Ace attorney is sort of a puzzle game and while not difficult it's exceptionally satisfying.
