Settlers attack village near Ramallah: Report

Wafa, citing local sources, is reporting that settlers under the protection of Israeli forces have attacked the village of Deir Jarir, east of Ramallah.

The Palestinian news agency said local residents confronted the settlers an in an effort to repel the attack and that Israeli forces fired live ammunition and stun grenades at the residents. No injuries were reported.

The occupied West Bank is home to more than 3 million Palestinians who live under Israeli military rule with the Palestinian Authority governing in limited areas. Israel has so far built more than 100 settlements across the West Bank, which are home to about 500,000 settlers.

Yemen’s Houthis say they will target US ships if Washington strikes Iran

Yemen’s Houthi rebels will target US ships in the Red Sea if Washington gets involved in Israel’s attacks on Iran, the group’s military spokesperson says.

Yemeni state media reported the statement, which the spokesperson said reaffirmed the group’s firm stance against “Zionist aggression” directed at any Arab or Islamic country.

Tehran in shock: Fleeing with heavy hearts

After three days of evaluating the situation, my family and I decided to join the countless others who already fled Tehran.

After hurriedly packing some clothes and a few belongings in a suitcase, I drove from my own place to my girlfriend’s house to pick her up at about 4pm. Her parents, who work in healthcare, needed to stay in Tehran that day, but they have since left as well after Israeli air strikes intensified in their neighbourhood.

We then picked up my mother – along with our four cats who have been staying with her – from her home in western Tehran, close to a major road that exits the capital.

Israeli bombs were falling on multiple areas as we scurried to leave.

Massive smoke clouds seen in southwestern Iranian city after Israeli attack

Videos circulating online and verified by Al Jazeera show large plumes of smoke rising in the city of Ahvaz following an Israeli strike.

Ahvaz is located in Khuzestan province, and is Iran’s primary oil-producing region.

Translation: I don’t know what it is, but there is a Basij base and a mosque there, and it is near Sama University, and the stadium opposite it is one of the gathering places for the repressive forces.

Iranian flags flown in large pro-Palestinian rally in London

Marchers in a huge pro-Palestinian rally in London waved Iranian flags, as they called urgent aid to be sent to Gaza and for Israel to stop bombing Iran.

Thousands of people took part in the march through central London, which ended with speeches in Whitehall from figures including independent MP Jeremy Corbyn, former leader of the governing Labour party, and pop singer Paloma Faith.

Independent MP Zarah Sultana told the crowd: “This isn’t complicated, it’s not a conflict, it’s not self defence. It is colonisation, it is domination, it is genocide.”

Nuclear complex in Isfahan has been targeted again: IAEA

A large nuclear complex in Isfahan has been targeted for a second time during Israel’s attacks on Iran over the past nine days, Rafael Grossi, the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), has said.

The IAEA said in a statement that the site in central Iran was first hit on 13 June when four buildings were damaged: the central chemical laboratory, a uranium conversion facility, a reactor fuel manufacturing plant and an enriched uranium metal processing facility under construction.

It stated that six other buildings at the same site have also been attacked: a natural and depleted uranium metal production facility that had not yet begun operations, a fuel rod production facility, as well as several other buildings.

The facilities targeted today either contained no nuclear material or small quantities of natural or low-enriched uranium, meaning any radioactive contamination is limited to the buildings that were damaged or destroyed, it said.

“Based on our analysis of the nuclear material present, we don’t see any risk of off-site contamination”, Grossi was quoted in the statement as saying.

Thousands gather in Iraqi capital to show solidarity with Iran

Inspired by a recent call from the highest religious authority in the country, the march called on the Iraqi government to prevent Israel and its allies from using Iraqi airspace and soil to attack Iraq’s neighbours.

This comes amid escalating regional tensions and recent U.S threats against Iran’s leadership.

“We support the stance of our grand leader. We totally reject arrogance and aggression. We will win by God’s willing, not only in Iran but in Palestine, Gaza, Lebanon and Syria”, one protester told Al Jazeera.

“We call on other Arab and Muslim states to reject the aggression on the Islamic Republic of Iran. Where are they [during] this campaign against a Muslim nation? The Iranians are our neighbours and we stand by them”, said Haytham Al-Juburi, a Baghdad resident, whom we also spoke to.

Israel continues raids across occupied West Bank

The Palestinian news agency Wafa reported that Israeli forces have continued to conduct raids the village of Nazlat Sheikh Zeid near Jenin in the occupied West Bank for the sixth consecutive day.

Citing local sources, Wafa reports that Israeli forces have confiscated three homes, expelled the residents, and turned them into a base of operations in the area. Soldiers have been interrogating residents and searching homes and vehicles, with local health centres and shops shuttered.

Wafa previously reported that two Palestinians were also injured after being assaulted by Israeli forces during raids in the town of Attil, north of Tulkarm.

Trump says US forces have attacked Iran

The president says in a social media post that the US has conducted “very successful” strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities at Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan, and that all planes are now out of Iranian airspace.

“We have completed our very successful attack on the three Nuclear sites in Iran, including Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan. All planes are now outside of Iran air space,” Trump said in a post on Truth Social.

“A full payload of BOMBS was dropped on the primary site, Fordow. All planes are safely on their way home. Congratulations to our great American Warriors. There is not another military in the World that could have done this. NOW IS THE TIME FOR PEACE! Thank you for your attention to this matter.”

Iran says ‘no danger’ to Iranians living near Fordow

The Crisis Management Headquarters in the province of Qom, where Fordow is located, has issued a statement saying that “there is no danger to the people of Qom and the surrounding area”.

The statement, carried by the IRNA news agency, comes after Trump said Iran’s nuclear sites have been “obliterated”.  Earlier, another official said Fordow has “long been evacuated and has not suffered any irreversible damage”.

Manan Raisi, who represents the Qom area where Fordow is located, says the attack on the underground nuclear site was “superficial”.
“Based on accurate information, I state that contrary to the claims of the lying US president, the Fordow nuclear facility has not been seriously damaged, and most of what was damaged was only on the ground, which can be restored,” Raisi said, according to the Tasnim news agency.

Iranian atomic energy body says no contamination recorded

The Atomic Energy Organization of Iran has said that radiation system data and field surveys do not show signs of contamination or danger to residents near the sites of Fordow, Isfahan and Natanz.

“Announcement from the Nuclear Safety System Center. Following the illegal US attack on the Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan nuclear sites, field surveys and radiation systems data showed: No contamination recorded,” the organisation said in a social media post.

“There is no danger to residents around these sites. Safety is in a stable state.”

Satellite images show unusual activity at Fordow days before US attack

High-quality satellite images taken on June 19 and June 20 show unusual activity involving trucks and vehicles near the entrance to the underground fuel enrichment facility at Fordow.

The images captured by Maxar show a group of 16 cargo trucks positioned along the access road leading to the tunnel entrance of the facility. The majority of these trucks were later relocated roughly 1km (0.6 miles) northwest of the road leading to the facility.

The visuals also depict additional trucks and several bulldozers near the site’s main entrance, including one truck positioned directly adjacent to the primary tunnel entrance.
