Forums - Gaming - Grand Theft Auto VI trailer 1 launched early

Since the topic is now about whether or not it will be on the next Nintendo console, Nintendo should approach Rockstar and offer some kind of agreement to have it launch on their next console with the other platforms simultaneously. It'll be a dumb business decision to not at least try to negotiate with them.

I agree. It would most definitely be a huge opportunity missed to not have their next biggest game appear on Nintendo's next console. Rockstar was the one to develop GTA the Definitive Edition, so I personally think it would make sense if they were the ones to approach Nintendo for GTA VI on the NG. And Nintendo isn't a huge 3rd party developer console seller, unlike Sony and Microsoft, they are more focused on their AAA 1st party games. But we'll just have to see.

Lifetime Sales Predictions

Switch: 160 million (was 120 million, then 140 million, then 150 million)

PS5: 130 million (was 124 million)

Xbox Series X/S: 54 million (was 60 million, then 57 million)

Oh your first post said it would launch on Nintendo next console with ps5 and xbox Series and that 1 year later for PC and steam deck. Now it's 6 month later with PC and steam deck 😂. Your math is weird considering we never seen a new main GTA game on any of Nintendo past consoles. The switch is so popular and is more than capable running PS3/360 version of GTA5 but rockstar didn't even bother. Nintendo next console would most likely be a handheld therefore it will not match the power of PS5 and Xbox series, not even close

Why can't my opinions change, as long as I give good reasoning for such there shouldn't be a problem.
I made the decision that my prediction will have GTA VI release on NG when it releases on PC and Steam.
Nah, my math is pretty legit.
I'm not gonna argue the same point, if you are gonna spam the same points I debated on, and if you dont bring up new info then there is no point in continuing. Take the L.

So why will the NG be less powerful than the Xbox Series S?

Why won't Nintendo next console be as powerful as Xbox series? Because a tablet can't last for more than 1 hour if it's that powerful. It will drain the battery fast probably explode. You took the L already that's why you changed your opinions 😂. I'm not gonna argue with you anymore if you keep changing your opinions day by day

What did you do to your batteries in which your tablets last 1 hour? A Switch battery can last from 5-9 hours depending on your game. And Nintendo will be focusing hard on playing time with the NG, like with what they did with the revisions of the Switch.
There is no L in making smart decisions and choices. That's what science does they make predictions and hypotheses, and test them. And if the data doesn't match the hypothesis then they make a new hypothesis. So until any NEW data regarding the Nintendo's Next Generation Console, your side of the argument is done.

The switch battery can last for a few hours because it was already outdated when it launched. A handheld that is as powerful as a series s wouldn't last for more than an hour. Actually it's not even gonna be possible for a handheld to match series s in power anytime soon. Your prediction is based on a rumour and thinking NG is as powerful as a series s and that it could run gta6. My prediction is based on the history between Nintendo and Rockstar and also Nintendo next console will be a handheld and that it would take Rockstar too much time and effort to port it so they won't even bother knowing the majority of their audience are on PlayStation, Xbox and PC. You said they were testing the switch with the trilogy. How did it go? Why didn't they test it with porting the PS3/360 GTA5 instead?

According to ex rockstar dev , those were in game cutscenes and that it will look like that!

Why did GTA5 never make it to the Switch? Is it the high install size? (72GB to 94GB, 76GB on PS4) GTA Trilogy on Switch is 25.4GB.
Maximum cart size is 64GB, biggest game (file size) on Switch currently is NBA 2K23 at 53.7GB. (outlier)

I guess it depends on the storage solution for Switch 2. I imagine GTA6 to have quite a hefty file size.

2025 - so about a year or so from now (I'm thinking Holiday 2025).

Anyways, I installed GTAV on my PS5 - gonna play that soon.

As much as I liked some other GTA-esque games in the last 15 or so years more than actual GTA, the reveal trailer for every new GTA always got me excited.

This one did absolutely nothing for me.

Same here, I think it did nothing for me because it made an accurate depiction of what state the US is in right now, mentally, physically, and socially. It made me rather sick, and if I was the main character I'd do my best to help the community become educated, responsible, and autonomous.

I will say the rendered cutscene trailer was stunning, but the content that it will be depicting is about as intriguing as a pig writhing in its filth. It's just not for me, and I wish those that want to play a good time.

So you think your prediction is solid base on a rumour (which you hate)that Nintendo next console could be in the same level as ps5 and Xbox series? Why didn't Rockstar port GTA5 for the wii U or switch launch ? The switch is one of the most popular consoles ever if not the most popular and is powerful enough to run GTA5 but rockstar didn't even care. Nintendo next console will be a handheld and therefore it will be no where near the PS5 and Xbox series in power. At the moment there's a 0.071% chance GTA 6 is a launch title for Nintendo's next console

Fun fact:
The Only Grand Theft Auto games that have ever released on Nintendo's home consoles is:

* Grand Theft Auto Trilogy - The Definitive Edition. - Which was absolute garbage.

They did release Grand Theft Auto Advance... Which was pretty mediocre and Grand Theft Auto 1+2 on Gameboy Colour which again was fairly average.

Nintendo has just never been on Rockstars radar.

Case in point: There was ZERO technical reason why GTA 3 and Vice city could not have been released on the Gamecube at the same time as the Playstation 2 and Original Xbox console releases.

So anyone hoping for GTA 4 or 5 on WiiU/Switch is pretty much having that hope misplaced... And I wouldn't be surprised if Rockstar skipped the Switch successor as well.

And let's face it, Rockstar hasn't needed Nintendo to make Grand Theft Auto one of the best selling games of all time anyway.
