Forums - Gaming - Where Are This Gens Greatest Hits

http://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/platinumhits/

There is about 10 360 games that are still amazing and worth full price on that list.
(if you've never played them)
Just stay away from Sonic...trust me, it may seem like a good deal for 19 bucks but no...it is not a good deal.

Can anyone tell I paid 60 for it or what? :)

More than likely, PS3 will finally get its "Greatest Hits" line this summer and follow the same list of titles as JP/PAL. I never agreed with the extra $10 tacked on to the price, but it's understandable considering cost of development. I'm guessing it'll take much longer for a price drop this gen for the same reasons, unless it doesn't sell well, like Genji and Stranglehold. Even Ninja Gaiden Sigma dropped to $39.99, but only at Walmart as far as I know.

All you touch and all you see is all your life will ever be.

Actually, there are a few 360 Platinum (the equivilent of Greatest Hit Collection games), at the $20 price tag. They are primarily MS-owned IPs like PD0, Kameo and Viva Pinata, but they are there.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

Yea, after a price cut all those old PS3 games were selling very well in Europe.

We probably won't see Player's Choice games for Wii for a while; not until Twilight Princess stops selling insanely well, I'd wager. And I suspect they'll raise the requirement back up to 1 million. If they leave it at 250,000+, about half of the Wii library will be Player's Choice games.

Sky Render - Sanity is for the weak.

I also wouldn't mind seeing some cheaper, greatest hits titles.

Its about time these titles became greatest hits:

- Resistance: Fall of Man
- Motorstorm
- Ratchet & Clank: Tools of Destruction
- Heavenly Sword

Then somewhere in the near future:

- Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
- Assassins Creed
- Uncharted: Drake's Fortune
- PES/FIFA 2008

Quite a bit later on:

- Guitar Hero 3
- Devil May Cry 4

I'm hoping for the Platinum games to be released in the UK soon, as most games are still above £20 and Platinum games would probably go for that new. How long that is I don't know, the PS3 has only been out a year here in Europe but I would expect some soon due to new Resistance and Motorstorm games coming out, would be good for those interested to pick up the first versions cheap before they buy the new ones.

Hmm, pie.

Gamecube's "greatest hits" were $29. That really pissed me off. Anyway, while there is a 360 version of "greatest hits", I say go to your local Gamestop/EBGames. There is a ton of good Wii/360 games for $20. Some cost less than $10. Enchanted Arms, Earth Defense Force, Kameo, Perfect Dark Zero, Condemned, Dead or Alive Xtreme2 and Project Gotham are all $9-$20! The Wii has some cheap games too. Dragon Ball Z Tenkaichi 2 and Red Steal (not as bas as you were told) come to mind. The rest are mainly shovel ware.

As for the PS3, I don't frequent that area yet. I'm sure there's some low cost gaming to be had.
